As budget travelers, this hotel is a little out of our budget, but we decided to book it anyway. I am really glad that we did. This place is awesome. The decoration and design is comparable to some of the hotels in Castro that is going for USD 200-300 a night, however, we are only paying a fraction of that... More

This renovated palafito (house on stilts) is on a gentrifying short street, separated from the main part of town by a step hill; probably best if you have a car. Neighbors include dilapidated houses, a hostel, at least one fancy restaurant, and a couple of relatively expensive stores selling local handicrafts. Parking on the street can be tight, but the... It was what difficult to find the place (we were searching in the street with palafitos in Castro itself) but we were pleasant surprised because the street it was situated on, looked more quiet. The staff was helpful to find a good spot to park our motorbikes; right in front! The first night we stayed in the corner room with... More

If you are looking for a romantic getaway, in a terrific spot, great staff and nice views, this is your spot. The Palafito is really well run, and you will feel at home. Also, they offer a fully furbished kitchen that you can use as you please. If you can afford, book a room on the second floor with a... More

The best palafito in Castro. It will cost you, but it's well worth the price for a romantic and charming stay in Castro. 20 minute walk to the town square, but you'll have to go up a large hill. Fantastic view of the water and surrounding countryside.

We watched the weather closely and chose two superb days to venture out from the lake region to Chiloe. We went once before years ago and it rained the entire trip and the only view we enjoyed was of the seafood on our plates. We had no advance reservations but I had read some reviews. We happened upon Palifitos 1326... More

We enjoyed our stay and are especially grateful to Jenny for her help organizing a delightful excursion with our guide Pedro to Isla Quinchao. Jenny was ever-patient with all our questions! Clean, tastefully decorated room. Comfortable beds, but there was barely any heat - that was our one complaint. Lovely breakfast, great views.

Very well renovated palafito (house on stilts) on the far side of Castro. A long walk up a steep hill if you want to go into town. That's the downside. Friendly staff, charming rooms, stunning views across the bay and mudflats to the headland beyond. Bird watchers will love it. Attractively priced. Breakfasts only so-so: trying to cater to a... This is a relatively new hotel, located in an area of houses on stilts over the water. The area is being "gentrified", as hotels, hostels and tour companies move in and refurbish the houses or build new ones in visual sympathy with the old ones, but the mix in the area is still mainly dominated by local residents. The hotel... More
