This small town doesn't have much in the way of lodging.....and this is probably as good as it gets. The location is GREAT for views over the sea from the terraces, but hotel is up a very steep hill and its a many blocks into town to pick up snacks/water if you're walking. However, you are probably not in Ancud... More

This is a nice cozy hotel with a fire place. People like to sit around it, have a drink and talk. It has a nice terrace and view. We had a very nice seafood dinner here. Rooms are small and people with huge luggage had somewhat of a problem.

The people behind the desk were very poor. It would seem that this is not a private enterprise because it is so poorly run.Luckily we were able to get the services we needed at a local hostel. Breakfast on both mornings of our stay was a haphazard affair where we had to run around looking for cutlery ,delph and food.... More

I and my wife were at this charming rustic hotel for 2 nights as a part of a group tour. The location is just fascinating wonderful with sprawling views of the adjacent sea. There was a wood burning fireplace that was warm and inviting in addition to creating a nice ambiance. The lobby as well as the restaurant is built... More

This place is a head-scratcher. It's wonderfully located, built right into the walls of Fuerte San Antonio, with great views on all sides (all rooms have ocean views). But the rooms, although clean and otherwise comfortable, are tiny! There was no more than 36cm between the foot of our bed and the wall so we had to lift suitcases over... More

We were warned this was the best hotel on the island, all the rooms were the same size and that the carvings in the lobby made up for all this. The lobby and dining area are lovely with highly polished woods and interesting carvings. The rooms are tiny and dark with bad lighting. My cramped bathroom with no shelves had a... More

The hotel is located at a top of a hill that overlooks the water--a stunning view. It has adequate (slightly small) rooms, but the rest of the hotel is nice. The restaurant was very good. The problem we had was that there was a large wedding that went on until 4:30 in the morning. The music was allowed to blast... More

I was at this hotel with a group. We left at 8:30am and returned at 6pm, which is when I discovered that the door to my room was open, with the official room key in the lock. The office had no explanation. They can question all they want the way I left the room, the fact is that I was... More

My wife and I stopped here for one night during a birding trip to Chiloe Island. The hotel's location is outstanding but it has little else to recomment it. The rooms are tired and need updating. The staff, although polite, seem listless. We were there for New Year's eve and signed up for a special dinner (see review for Hotel... More

First thing to say is that Chiloe is well worth a visit. It is a haunting place (see pictures on http://justaddpictures.wordpress.com). But there may be no good hotels on the island, certainly not this one. Public areas are fine and food was actually pretty good. But rooms are very small, decaying and uncomfortable. Window would not close properly in our... More
