I went with my family to the restaurant, we ordered our food and it came almost right away. I ordered the Mac and cheese, I was expecting to get a decent bowl size and something delicious and creamy! Unfortunately it was a dry kraft dinner! I paid 6 dollars and I could have made it better my self! Save your... More

This place was a fun stop on the way home from the North. Bought some tasty fudge, also found some great native art to pick up for a gift. The staff was nice, but I did feel followed around by the staff as of I was going to steal something. I know that it's part of their job, but it's... More

On our way up to Manitoulin Island, my friend and I stopped at the French River Trading Post. Lots of cool products to see (or buy). It is one of the bigger "trading posts" I have seen. Staff are very friendly. For those who like fudge, they've got many flavours. If you want a bite to eat, they have a... More

Rather than ride the hour into the next town, we decided to hunker down at French River Trading Post off highway 69. The room is spacious, clean and charming. One wall is pine wood and helps the room smell like a cabin. The owner is a nice lady originally from New York and was very helpful--pretty much standard for Canada... More

Stopped here on our way to the French River. Really enjoyed this stop. Homemade fudge and ice cream will attract anyone with a sweet tooth. There are so many products here that you will be sure to find something that suits your fancy. Definitely worth a stop on the way north.

We stop here every time we go up North. I love the trading post! It has got great merchandise and the staff are helpful and friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. Great place to get out and walk around for a bit. I would recommend this place to anyone!

The French River Trading Post is nice clean place to stop if you are traveling North. It is a must stop place for our family. The snowmobile bridge just south of the Trading Post is a neat stop as well. The Trading Post has a beautiful assortment of Canadian handwork. The Blueberry Hound restaurant on the same premises is a... More

This place seems to ride on its reputation as a mainstay in the French River area. It's nothing special, and I suppose that one should not expect it to be. The main door is so thin as to be non-existent. Even though the Motel is set back from the highway, it can still be noisy. You will hear the neighbors... More

Stayed here while on business in the area. Chose it because it was close to where I had to go, and being right on the highway it was easy to find. My room was spotless and spacious. The bed was comfortable although rather squeaky. My only negative about the place was that noises transmitted through the walls and windows. I... More
