My husband and I got married at the beautiful Blackbrook House in Belper and stayed at the equally beautiful Blackbrook Lodge on our wedding night, it was absolutely perfect! We stayed in the Beach Hut, which is a lovely, spacious room with a fantastic sauna, and from the moment we arrived, Julie and Vic looked us. From the card in... More

My partner and I were camping with our dog and met up with friends and their dogs. The campsite was nice, nice walks, quiet surroundings and helpful staff. Only one shower but I never had to wait for it. The toilets and shower were cleaned regularly The only downside for me is that we were next to a really miserable... More

How do you start with a place like this, The hosts were the most friendly people we have meet while Motor homing, the pitch was perfect and the setting unbelievable. We stayed initially 3 nights but returned after leaving for a pre booked site which was poor. Vic welcomed us back with open arms and made us welcome once again,... More

Just returned from the beach hut.......amazing room.Thank you for hospitality. We will most definitely return again. Outstanding accommodation, very clean and was made feel at home immediately. It was a shame we couldn't stay longer.

We stayed at BlackBrook Lodge on 14th Feb 2014 as we were guests at a wedding nearby in Shottle Hall. We initially wanted to book the 'Love Shack' but unsurprisingly with it being Valentines day it was already booked so we instead opted for the 'Beach Hut' and I am so pleased that we did. The room or should I... More

We booked this visit very last-minute and Julie responded with great efficiency; friendliness and in a laid back manner - which made everything feel very simple and relaxing. We stayed in the Green Room with our dog. This was ideal, a very spacious room, and a little away from the main house. Vic and Julie were extremely friendly hosts but... More

From the initial booking to us departing the service was excellent. Very helpful, so friendly and nothing was too much. We arrived on a rainy but sunny Saturday for 1 night to stay in the 'Loveshack' and even the weather couldn't dampen our spirits as we were shown around the accommodation and Black Brook Lodge by Julie and accompanying pooch.... Okay, where to begin..... The hosts...... the owners of this very fine establishment are the most helpful, friendliest people I think I have ever met, they truly are as helpful as all the other reviewers say. They offered to drop us at the local pub (we are talking the country side, so local is a bit of a distance) if... More
