Marai beach is a good place for stay a few days during travelling and relax. The cottages are nice furnitured, very spatial and perfectly clean with cute half open-air bathroom. Outdoor area of Marari Beach resort is wide so even if there is a full occupation it is a still intimate and calm place. The beach near Marari is charming... More

Lets start with the positives, which there are many. Having slept on a Houseboat the night before the villa was an oasis. I had two adjoining villa's, one for my teenagers and one for us. Great to be connected as a family but away from other guests. The linen on the bed was great which led to many very good... More

Our umpteenth trip to Mararikulam but first time at this much hyped resort. Turned out to be a bad choice. After the obligatory fake smile and coconut water, one of the staff asks us "How many of you above five years old?" The fact that anyone above five years is charged at adult rates itself is a blatant rip off,... More

We stayed for a week at the end of march after a week of travelling around Kerala. . Although the resort was full for most of this time it always felt relaxed. There was no problem finding loungers around the well kept pool or under the coconut palms adjoining the beach. The sea was pleasant to swim in while we... More

Advantages as far I can see: wide open areas, clean and nicely furnished huts, good service, excellent cuisine and everything is supported with eco friendly and social responsibility ideology. But there are few 'but': overwhelming hospitality which make me uncomfortable, prices in the restaurant were to high when one choose menu instead of buffet. Very good experience in the end.

Marari Beach Resort is beautifully laid out, and edges onto a clean and quiet stretch of beach, lined by coconut trees. The resort itself has a large pool, hammocks, a butterfly garden (you HAVE to see that!) and a great restaurant with live tabla and flute music, where many of the staff take turns to sing along - wonderful atmosphere!... It is the extension of Spice village. The rooms are located far away from the reception. The property is good and well maintained. Hotel also organizes lots of activities for the residents including Kathakali dance performance. The food is expensive and so are the massage treatments. Staff is cordial and very helpful. The sea beach is private and enjoyable. The... More

The first thing I have to say is the cottages look good with their thatched roofs and the kachcha house like feel. Inside is clean and has a concrete roof. The second thing is the food... I have to say that it was really good. At the time of our stay the sea was rough so we couldn't get into... More

We stayed here for 3 nights with the full intention of doing nothing more than relaxing and that is what we did. There really isn't much else to do here other than sit by the pool or on the beach or relax in a hammock and if that's all you want to do then this is the place for you.... More
