This is an excellent little hotel for staying in Cabarete for a few days. We had a three day trip, with three surf lessons for a very reasonable price. The rooms are simple and clean and they're really all you need. It's not a resort, so expect more hostel-like accommodations, but at the price they are more than adequate. We... More

This place is good for people who don't want something luxurious. If you are not an adventurer, or don't like animals, don't go there. There's about 6 dogs on the site, who seems to be the proprio dogs. They are very nice and not bad ROOMS For the room, the cheapest room are the Cottage ... that ok if you... More

Stayed here on three occasions. Each visit was great. There are basic bungalows with bathrooms. There are also newer, nicer rooms located on their "tower." These rooms are great. They are a couple stories up and have fresh air. The stay includes breakfast and dinner. Dinners were consistently good and filling. Helpful and friendly staff! We plan to stay here... More

A couple friends and I just stayed at Cabarete Surf Camp (aka Ali's Surf Camp) for a night -- we were going to stay longer but we checked out early and paid a penalty because we did not like it there. For one, the location is in a lagoon (with mosquitos) about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach on... More

Stayed there the last 2 weeks. It was fantastic - met other people instantly and got in contact very well. Even the staff is very helpful and friendly - even when you get skimmed. Breakfast is a little bit small, even when you have to surf in the morning. Lunch - even Churrasco Burger is fantastic - just for 150... More

Just an awful experience. The owner have a very poor sense of hospitality. Cheap and good location is not worth the aggravations they caused my friends and I. Watch your belonging. Many people got robbed there. Also seems unsafe for woman.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. VERY UNSAFE My friends and I rented the River House, which has two rooms and a porch. On the evening of Dec 30, 2013, while one of my friends and I were still on the porch, my room was robbed. The thief opened the safe box and took everything in it except my passport.... More
