We stayed here February 7th through the 14th of 2015, room #64.The staff for the most was excellent considering what they had to work with. Very friendly! But watch out fot Billy who works there and pushes you to purchase a timeshare. The guy is relentless. He was after us for most of the vacation stay, low balling one offer... More

The good: Pool was nice and very beautiful grounds. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful! They were the best part! Maids were awesome. Close to the beach but still 15 min walk. Good food at restaurant. Happy hour was great 2 for 1 4-5:30 daily and Sunday's free rum punch for 30 mins starting at 3pm once the bottle... More

The units are just alright. Pretty much the minimum acceptable standard. There was a stove and a mini fridge. Resort is full of elderly Americans and Canadians who have retired and live here for weeks on end paying high timeshare prices. Most of these people are clueless to life in DR outside the walls of this resort. It's sad to... More

Staff are great but they are trying to put lipstick on a pig. Resort was built 30 years ago and they still have the same plumbing fixtures. They patch on top of old patches instead of replacing. NOT on the beach. It's at least a 15 minute walk and you can't swim. It's a kite / surfing beach so water... More

Upon arrival, we were all offered a delicious welcome fruit drink. It took awhile to check in as their technology is rather outdated. Our group of 6 stayed in a 3BR, 2BA unit. The 3BR units are on the 3rd floor with no elevators so we climbed a lot of stairs during our stay! We opted for the ocean view... More

The resort is good if you go into it with an open mind the staff is really good. They say you should not put paper in the toilet. Some said it was due to the plumbing but in actuality it is because their waste water system dumps mostly in the ocean. Just an fyi for everyone. Negotiate prices the first... More

I was there this December 2014. This is the worst place I have ever stayed at. The resort is rundown and needs a lot of renovation. The rooms are outdated, electrical is outdated. No windows, just some kind of blinds or shutters. Service at the front desk was terrible, like you were bothering them. Never lifted a finger to help... More

Coconut Palms looks great on arrival. There's a great restaurant. They had a BBQ buffet one night and Christmas Dinner buffet, otherwise a menu was provided. The food was always great. We had no meal package so prepared our other meals in our unit. The one bedroom unit wasn't bad looking and it was comfortable, but it was aged. The... More

Come here expecting less and you'll be happily surprised. All the staff are good people and its a ten minute walk to a cool surf beach (not for swimming). Close enough to Cabarete for a quick cab ride to enjoy the kite surfing or Sosua for a perfect beach.

Our group took over three rooms so I think I had a look at a good sampling of what was offered. You only get one chance to make a first impression and we were greeted by cupboard doors hanging askew, a ceiling fan that didn't work (it took three days to get it fixed), a microwave and stove that didn't...
