We were quite impressed with Velero. We spent the last week of May there for our honeymoon and feel it was the right choice. We definately got our money's worth and have little to no complaints. We rented a mini suite for the 2 of us. Very comfortable but probably bigger than we needed. Nice having the kitchen but hardly used it. Many good relatively inexpensive restaurants nearby. My girlfriend and I had a great four nights at the Velero Beach Resort. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfasts at the hotel restuarant were delicious, and we spent our days relaxing at the pool and on the beach. The rooms were a nice size. The beach was beautiful. The sun beds around the pool were a great hit with my kids. There was a supermarket and a fruit stand a block away where we got food for breakfast lunch and ate it out on our patio. more

Spent 10 days here with my husband and really couldn't fault it. We were made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Very friendly hotel right on the beach with the most spectacular views across the bay. Best accommodation in Cabarete! more
