This hotel is one of the few that's right on the heart of Cabarete's strip. The location is great!! It's right across the street from the beach. The rooms are pretty good. They're bungalow style, except for a few. Each room has a private balcony. The hotel istelf is quite private. It has a restaurant & their breakfast is pretty... more

We liked the privacy of the bungalows in such a crazy little town. The are just across the street from the beach and are quite clean and nice for the price. The shower was hot and the bathroom was clean. The bed did give me a kink in my neck, but other than that it was great. We just had... more

This Hotel is average, Convenient, definitely not the Plaza...but clean Stayed here twice before, reason? no, not the service, not the Cordial treatment from the staff (a bit cold).. not the pool (too small). The reason I kept coming back is the budget price, the cleanliness, the convenience (across the street from the beach). I only had breakfast at the... more

Great accomodations! Cabarete was packed for New Year's Eve and they still found us a room and allowed us to negociate how many people we could have. The pool was beautiful and full of international travelers. more

Okay, first and foremost we booked this hotel in order to save $$ the first half of our vacation and then stay at a fancier spot at the end of the time. I thought this was a rather nice spot to stay considering it was only $58 a night (you never know what youll get for that price). The location... more

I stayed at Hotel Kaoba this year from February 5-10. This was my 3rd time staying at this hotel in the past 3 years. I always stay at this hotel in Cabarete because it's a great value for the price. The bungalows are probably the hotels best commodity. The bungalows offer a full bed along with a single bed, private... more

I had reservations for this hotel. I arrived after 24 hours of traveling from Arkansas. They had my reservation, but they only take cash and wanted it all up front. They would not even take my travelers checks. I went to my room and the window next to the front door was broken and the screen was cut. I asked... more

I stayed here for a week in October and wish I hadn't.......The hotel and room was ok, nothing special but if you want somewhere cheap and central its fine. I was in Cabarete for 6 weeks in September and October of this year and spent 1 week at the Kaoba. Unfortunately my money and mobile phone were taken from my... more

You get absolutely what you pay for at Kaoba. I stayed 6 days in a bungalow with no AC and no TV. Mainly because I did not want it to become a vacation where I stayed hidden in the room. Although there was no AC, the ceilling fan kept the room cool. The only problem is with the heat, and... more

We had to extend our stay in the Dominican Republic, which wouldn't have been a problem except that we had our dog with us. At the last minute, we heard about Hotel Kaoba. They are a pet friendly hotel in the fun city of Cabarete. It's a no-frills hotel, but it was clean, the pool and garden area were well... more
