Very nice hotel right in from of the Caribbean Sea. The service is excellent. We stayed here for a wedding. everything was well decorated, the food was great and the employees always have a big smile to share with the guests. They even gave us an extra room free of charge so all the bridesmaids could change clothes and do... More

My daughter was on a medical mission and was turning "21" during her stay. I wanted to do something special for her so I contacted the hotel by e-mail, asking if they could possibily get my daughter a simple rose or a piece of cake to be given at dinner to celebrate her birthday. It was'nt 15 minutes later and... More

A very pleasant surprize to find such high quality food, service, and the entire property clean.Friendly, professional staff, that are very well trained was very refreshing. The qualiy was high American standards but with a big Dominican smile on top. We would return to Barahona just to stay at the Costa Larimar, a jewel in itself! Michele in the dining... More

The hotel was clean and the buffet was wonderful. It was a great to relax by the pool and beach. There are mangrove islands in the cove that you can swim to from the hotel beach. We saw wild horses a couple of times on the beach. The staff was attentive. There is gated parking and full time security and the... More

I stayed here in March 2010 (sorry for the late review) while visiting Bahrona on a medical mission trip. The hotel was better than expected. Very clean and fairly modern, considering the location. The food was okay, plenty of selections. We avoided the lettuce and other raw vegetables/fruits that couldn't be peeled. A few people in our group did get... More

A very nice choice, the hotel is samll, but beautifull, a little dusty, but all Barahona is. the hotel haves a marvelous beach, with two little mangrooves islands (see fotos) you can reach swimming easily (beware beyond the islands, the sea current is strong) the pool bar is superb for a nice rum and tonic sunset. There are armies of... More

I stay at Hotel Costa Larimar whenever I travel anywhere in the region on business. Its so clean and comfortable, the food is excellent, the pools are immaculate and the beach is private. The staff bend over backwards to make the guests happy and its secure with full time security and a state of the art CCTV security system. More

All around my trip was enjoyable at Hotel Costa Larimar. I was unfamilar with Barahona - but now I will go back. The food had flavor, the fresh made pastries cannot be missed for dessert, the rooms were very clean, the pool and ocean great and the service staff was very polite. One of the best parts was its location... More

We went to Barahona for a weekend gettaway and really like the stay. Two nights with breakfast are a bit on the expensive side (approx EUR 130) RD$3550 per night with breakfast included) / or approx RD$5500 for stay with 3 meals) but the room was big and clean and had its own balcony. Breakfast was good an plantiful an... More

Just came back from a 2 night getaway with another 3 couples. To start off, upon our evening arrival we learned that hotel had canceled without notice the 4 rooms booked with credit card guarantee. We were not the only ones affected, at least another group had their 6 room reservation canceled. We later understood that they had canceled many... More
