First, you walk into a gorgeous lobby, and it makes you think that the $140 is worth it. Then you meet, Savier, the rudest receptionist I've ever met. My room price ended up being $220, which I had to pay in pesos, which they converted at $40 (considering the peso was at $45). We went to our bedroom, and we... More

A travel agent booked this for us. Can't believe someone would actually think this is a proper hotel. So disgusted with the bed, dirty filthy coverlet that has never been washed. As we are stuck here for 3 terrible nights, we ended up using the towels to cover the pillows. Ewwww. The music is BLASTING loud in the pool/restaurant/bar area... More

I have stayed here annually for a week for 8 years. I agreee with other reviews that ratings are relative to other "outside-of USA" places. For business and missions this is a very nice place to stay. Beautiful grounds. Not a resort beach, but you can spend time on the beach and swim in the warm Carribean. The pool is... More

I have been staying at this hotel for 18 years. The hotel has seen good and bad days. Currently the A/C, water, electricity is working. Breakfast is the basics. If the Hotel is full the breakfast is better. Everything is clean. The linens are well dated but clean. Staff are very friendly. No English these days. Not a vacation spot... More

Leave your America expectations and remember where you are. Hotel is an older facility but functional. Beware of the elevators. They usually broke down at least once a day but I am a stair person so this was not an issue for me. The food was excellent although the meal times seemed to be very flexible according to when the... Rooms have broken mosquito nets, ants/bugs inside, Internet is very hit and miss. Breakfast is good at the cafe though. Beach is dirty and very sandfly infested. Very nice staff that works hard, but has little power to affect the poor situation at the hotel. Check in check out takes FOREVER as they only have one computer....oh and they dont... More

We were on a family trip in the southwest of the island and decided to stay overnight at the hotel. Excellent care and service since we call 45 minutes before arrival. I found the price a little high, but the other option was to drive 3-4 hours on a dominican highway (8pm). No hot water and the AC was not... More

This is a terrible hotel. So old that nothing works properly, elevators cant shut the doors completely; air conditioning system does not work at all and they have installed individual old ones that make a tremendous noise throughout the night; staff is rude and the electricity power keeps going on and off, during my one night stay (there were suppose... I was driving pass the resort and noted that the Canadian flag was upside down. Most people from other countries may not know which way the red leaf is suppose to be positioned. I stopped and went into the beautiful lobby and through a Spanish interpretor was able to express my observation. We asked permission to view the resort and... More
