I have now stayed at Casa Mexicana for the third time and every time it is great. The place has lots of charm, friendly staff and really good food. It is located right in the center of Tapachula and with it´s patio one can escacpe from the hectic of the city. Also the prices are very reasonable. Compliment to everyone... More

I was disappointed wholeheartedly with Tapachula, but Casa Mexicana made up for it. This is hands-down one of the nicest hotels I've ever been at. And it only cost me about $80! The entire place is adorned with pictures, paintings, sculptures and other artworks representative of Mexico. I spent half my time there strolling around and taking pictures! I highly... More

On March 27th, 2014 we held a private dinner for 16 people at the Casa Mexicana. 10 of our group stayed at the hotel and had a great experience - nice rooms with unique decor. But the meal was incredible! Delicious & truly special, with all sorts of local delicacies! I would definitely recommend Casa Mexicana for a special event... More

I have stayed in this hotel around five times and I have never had any complain. First of all, the hotel it's a beautiful house with a central patio full of native vegetation that creates a great environment either to relax or work. We have stayed here every time we come to work and we always feel so welcome and... More

This place is great! Just two blocks of downtown Tapachula, they offer great service. Staff and owner are always helpful and courteous. They also have an is house restaurant that offers great meals and killer margaritas at accessible prices. It is a very good option while coming to Tapachula City

The hotel was excellent in every sense. Service with Héctor and Jorge was superb, accomodating my every need. The patio to the restaurant was verdant and special. I applaud the manager, Jorge, for his attention to the turn-of-the-century Mexican detail, including Barroque styles from that part of the century. The meals were very succulent, and I applaud the chef. I... More

Casa Mexicana is a true delight to one who appreciates folkart and history and excellent service. The hotel is situated three blocks walking distance from the museum, zocalo (central plaza) and shopping district. A lovely old home which has been converted into a hotel and restaurant and not only caters to its' guests but the local clientele. The restaurant serves... More

My husband and I stayed at Casa Mexicana (Tapachula) a couple of weeks ago, for 2 nigths. It's a very charming place, very unique, warm and colorful. We may have been the only guests in the hotel at the time... Not sure. Each of the 10 rooms is dedicated to a famous Mexican woman; we were in Sor Juana's room,... More

This an excellent small hotel. Very pretty, full of art and culture, just the hotel worth the visit to this town. It is perfect if you want to do Ruta del Café and you don't want to stay in expensives cabanas in the Haciendas. You can easily do ruta del cafe and come back to this excellente small gem. However,... More
