We visited Tapachula for the first time and stayed here based on the TripAdvisor rating and review. It was perfect, great, friendly and personable staff, good location, nicely decorated rooms and pretty garden and pool. If you want a place in SE Mexico that has it all, makes you think you are in Frida Kahlo's living room, has artwork from ages past and a bit avant garde as well, a garden to get lost in, food and drinks to moan over and a staff that is there, kindly, for your every need, this is your... More

This is a good basic hotel with comfortable bed, good air conditioning, friendly staff and average price. The only disappointment I had was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday, but there are plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance.

We had a double room for one night before catching a flight to Mexico City! The room was lovely with a great ensuite/shower and very effective air con! Helpful staff with good food in a convenient location!

I have now stayed at Casa Mexicana for the third time and every time it is great. The place has lots of charm, friendly staff and really good food. It is located right in the center of Tapachula and with it´s patio one can escacpe from the hectic of the city. Also the prices are very reasonable. Compliment to everyone... More

I was disappointed wholeheartedly with Tapachula, but Casa Mexicana made up for it. This is hands-down one of the nicest hotels I've ever been at. And it only cost me about $80! The entire place is adorned with pictures, paintings, sculptures and other artworks representative of Mexico. I spent half my time there strolling around and taking pictures! I highly... More

On March 27th, 2014 we held a private dinner for 16 people at the Casa Mexicana. 10 of our group stayed at the hotel and had a great experience - nice rooms with unique decor. But the meal was incredible! Delicious & truly special, with all sorts of local delicacies! I would definitely recommend Casa Mexicana for a special event... More

This place is great! Just two blocks of downtown Tapachula, they offer great service. Staff and owner are always helpful and courteous. They also have an is house restaurant that offers great meals and killer margaritas at accessible prices. It is a very good option while coming to Tapachula City

The hotel was excellent in every sense. Service with Héctor and Jorge was superb, accomodating my every need. The patio to the restaurant was verdant and special. I applaud the manager, Jorge, for his attention to the turn-of-the-century Mexican detail, including Barroque styles from that part of the century. The meals were very succulent, and I applaud the chef. I... More
