It has been our list of things to do - to visit the jungle - for years. We were delighted with our stay at Argovia. We stayed in one of the cabins with a private porch. We enjoyed just sitting and listening to the sounds of the jungle - crickets and birds. Other reviews that reported the food as being... More

My husband and I too took a day trip to the Coffee Plantation from a cruise ship, and had a grand time enjoying the sights and hospitality. We are serious coffee drinkers and bought 2 lbs of the organically grown Argovia dark roast beans. We are just about out and want to order more...please tell me how I can. Looking... More

we stayed here for a long weekend. It is a beautiful setting and the accommodation is comfortable and nicely done. we had a relaxing time, and everyone at the Finca was friendly and welcoming. It does seem though, that the place has hit upon hard times as the facilities seemed a little run down. The pool for example (where we... More

I am rating as an attraction not as a hotel. I am rating this attraction a 3 because it is definitely a wonderful landscape and a cultural icon. However, food is terrible, me and my partner got poisoned there by their "filetes". All their plates were cold and not well done at all. We are sure we got poisoned by... More

Myself and my partner booked to stay 2 nights here (3rd & 4th Oct). We rang the hotel 10 minutes before getting on a bus to Tapachula to let them know what time we expected to arrive, only to be informed that they had made a mistake with our booking and therefore we could only stay one of the 2... Got the full coffee plantation experience at Argovia! Rich family history, mountain jungle terrain, fantastic accommodations. One of the many treasures that Chiapas has to offer. Mayan ruins, uncrowded beaches, Spanish colonial towns, azure waterfalls nearby. A safe place to enjoy the wonders of Mexico!

We really enjoyed last weekend's getaway to Argovia. Eventhough we arrived with lots of showers, and sometimes heavy rain, the first night was peaceful hearing the crickets. Had a delicious early dinner, enjoyed some espressos, and went to bed. The following morning, we spend some time working over a slow, but reliable WiFi internet access. Once we finished work, we... We stayed two nights in the fabulous cabin with the terrace. We felt like we were in the jungle or Hawaii - either way, it was nice. The song birds woke us in the morning - so leave your alarm clock behind. Paula gave us a wonderful and very informative coffee tour - even so it was not the harvesting... More

Although torn between visiting Argovia Finca and the Izapa Mayan ruins, we were very happy with our selection. We visited in early October, which is the heart of the coffee picking season, which runs from September-December. I will never complain about the cost of coffee again. Our 1-1/2 hour bus drive took us though the large town of Tapachula (past... More
