Nice hotel but outside is completely dug up and it looks like the work will be going for a long time. Getting a taxi is a wee bit of a chore. Room was very nice and comfortable though and pool looked nice enough. Staff were ok but not overly helpful. Not a bad choice for a night.

I have stayed at this hotel a couple times in the past year. My fiancé and I enjoy it very much. The staff is friendly. The buffet breakfast on Sundays are great! I always look forward to going back...

staff very slow and unfriendly, water on the flood ( it had rained...), we didnt feel safe ( any body can get in...) and all the détails lead to see it is not well maintained ( ex: can of juice to hold door...) . Never Again.

Arriving very late at night the staff were helpful, the air conditioning wasnt working but they sent a maintenance guy straight away to our ground floor room (the doors were hard to lock which felt a little unsafe!!). The bathroom is tiny and the rooms aren't huge but this is a lovely hotel considering the area and other options available.... More

This was formerly the Holiday Inn. This is my second visit since the change, and I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The rooms are comfortable and the bath, while small, is perfectly adequate. There are make up mirrors, hair dryers, safes, irons and ironing boards. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The restaurant has good food... More

We booked through a competitor which com.books hotels and we've arrived tonight, 12th March after long drive from palenque to find that the Holiday Inn is no more! Another company has taken over, never heard of them and honoured our booking. The helpful maintenance man told us ( as he come to fix our telly and a/c) that it had... More

We were quite looking forward to some luxury after a few days of travelling so 'treated ourselves' to a night in a Holiday Inn. The Junior suite was the same price as a standard room so there was no problem in making a room choice. However, we were quite disappointed when we arrived & saw the room. It's a) not... More

Comfortable beds and relaxing bath. But given 5 stars because of restaurant meal. Group got in late at 9 pm on a Sunday and went down to eat in empty restaurant expecting expensive bland hotel food. But mixed meat and veg "jaguar" dish for 2 at 220 pesos was our best meal of 16 night trip and we'd always gone... More

This is not the Ritz, but neither is Chetumal Paris. The hotel is modern. The rooms are fine although the bathroom was a bit tight. Our room looked over the courtyard and the small pool, and so was very quiet. The restaurant menu had a reasonable choice and the food was OK. Internet is free and the service friendly.

Chetumal was our last stop on our trip circling the Yucatan Pennisula, before we set down roots in Puerto Aventuras for a while. First of all we were very pleasantly surprised with the town of Chetumal, having been led to believe it was a not so nice border town. Not so, the streets are wide and well maintained, nice buildings... More
