We booked this hotel over the internet and although we read quite a few negative reviews we continued with our booking - we should have taken other travelers advice. This hotel, although located centrally in the center of the city of Chetumal is awful and overpriced for what you get. First off the lobby is new & beautiful with marble... More

We booked an Executive King Room at the Grand Marlon through Booking.com. The day after we reserved the room, we received an email from Booking.com offering us an upgrade to a Junior Suite with a king bed, seating area and a spa bath. The pics of the room were fabulous. I was so excited because we own a little hotel... More

We have stayed a few times in this hotel, and more recently in its sister hotel accords the road, The Marlon. (i.e, without the Grand). The Grand Marlon hotel is clean, the service is nice although the English speaking ability of its personnel leaves something to be desired. We always opt for the superior room with a king size bed,... More

Good hotel for the price we paid. Pretty clean rooms. The only one issue is that the Wifi is not covering the room, you need to stay in the lobby. Small pool, but was nobody there, so we felt lucky. Good service, but still they need to be reminded! Overall D good place for the money we paid. We stayed... More

I booked the Grand Marlon for a one night "pit stop" on our trip from Playa Del Carmen to Corozal. The hotel was better than expected, quite modern, bright and airy in the common areas with a small pool and gym off the lobby. Our room was large (for a small hotel) and well furnished, the bathroom very clean and modern.We... More

Nice enough hotel. Pleasant staff (particularly in the adjoining restaurant) with a friendly welcome. Pleasant pool area if a little small. Room was nice enough and more than adequate. Had breakfast sent to the room. Nice enough if not amazing. Bathroom door would lock you in from the inside. As a solo traveller this may cause you an issue. Local... More

We booked The Grand Marlon as part of our travels through Mexico and Central America. It was intended to be a comfortable, clean and relaxed stay before heading across the boarder and it didn't disappoint. The hotel is well placed in the city and easy to find. The rooms were spacious, clean and perfect for what we needed. Unfortunately when... More

Nicely tucked in hotel, not that many rooms but the rooms are fairly clean. Free Wi-fi is available. Small gym and small pool on the ground floor that are not in the best location but can serve its purpose. The restaurant on site is fairly decent and good service. Hotel is located one street away from the main street in... More

Ok, let me start with a little introduction of the hotel. The Grand Marlon is a very nice hotel with not so much rooms and is a bit secluded from the noise, making it a place where you can relax and just spend a good time. They also have a restaurant which serves very delicious mexican and continental breakfast. The... More

We paid 650 pesos (about 54$US) for a room and it was absolutely perfect. Luxury at a very affordable price. Modern, great pool, small, but super clean rooms. Wi-Fi, cable TV, AC. For the price, you can't beat this. Onsite restaurant is expensive by Mexican standards.
