This is a fab property. One of the best we have stayed in during our two week Maya ruins visit. It is close to a number of ruins other than Kohunlich. We spent two nights there but if we wanted to have a relaxing day off, we could have spent three. The main property sits at the top of a... More

This was an excellent choice for us. The hotel is comfortable and friendly. The rooms are in a series of "duplex" bungalows. The hotel was not full, and they spread people out so that people were not next to each other. This meant a little more walking than if they had put everyone in the closet bungalows to the restaurant... More

We were there for 3 days, we had activities all day and night, the natural spots where the activities were one of the most beautiful and ecologically respectful I have ever been. Food and service excellent ( not nachos and hamburgers, much better), rooms really comfortable, activities amazing, all was really perfect. Great long weekend.

A tropical paradise retreat that will not disappoint! Serene, beautiful grounds. Stunningly lovely, spacious, and immaculately clean cabanas with outdoor living space where coffee and sweet breads are delivered at dawn in charming baskets. Outdoor dining area where regionally-inspired, delicious meals are prepared with fresh local food and beautifully served. Daily guided adventures are offered like mountain-biking into remote archaeological... More

I went to this property in February 2015. As I sit in the cold winter, I'm thinking about how much I enjoyed this all inclusive resort. The tours took me to five sets of temples which can be climbed, dinner kayaking, cenote swimming, current floating, and pirate towns. I actually want to return and I rarely go to places twice... If you want adventure and luxury in an interesting location, you can't do much better than the Explorean. The resort itself is in the middle of nowhere and is just beautiful. Each bungalow is large and very well appointed with an outdoor hammock (strongly advised for afternoon siestas after your adventures), glass-walled shower with views into the jungle, and all... We used Hilton points to stay here with our daughter and her boyfriend (30-somethings) for five nights. What an experience! It was our second all-inclusive resort and we tend to avoid them. But we loved the fact that this was small and located in the Yucatan jungle. All meal, snacks and drinks are included (there's an open bar so you... More

Very Interesting site, had a great day. The masks were very good. Really enjoyed our day there exploring. Our guide provided with the cruise tour was very informative and gave us lots of background on the Mayan culture as he was of Mayan descent. Stopped for meal on way back, meal was just okay but the spot was right on... More

Very nice place; kind and helpful staff; good food and great activities but also having the time just to relax with a good book next to the pool or in your own bungalow. The nature is close, maybe even a bit too close :) please remember mosquito repellent! There is great opportunity to observe the local flora and fauna.
