Been here 3 times for their weeklong spa program. A massage a day for 6 days...3 facials...reflexology...etc. Food is great...service good...grounds are gorgeous. Great buy for all you get! Town is nearby and perfect for some local color. Mexico scary? Certainly not here! Plan on returning at least every other year...FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE!!! :)

This has been a place where my grandparents, parents and me have been coming for more than 30 years. The place is the same although they keep it in good condition. Pools are great, jacuzzi is excellent, spa is average but prices are good. Food is one of the best things here and next door you have a big water... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor, I researched this Spa and felt confident enough to try it for the first time. My experience has been positive. Let me begin with Giuvanna who handles reservations in the U.S. and was always gracious and helpful. The driver from the Spa was right on time and delivered me safely to the hotel lobby. I immediately... More

I have been to this hotel several times since 2000, recently returning yesterday from a seven night stay. It is an extraordinaire experience and on some level a little known paradise. It's 65 miles SW of Mexico City with an elevation of 6000 feet. The rooms are not air- conditioned but not necessary. Fans are provided if needed. The grounds... More

Thank you for taking the time to post on Tripadvisor. We wanted to apologize for the check out procedure you encountered. The group you were in was a travel agent familiarization tour and the check out is handled slightly differently from check out for other groups and those from individual guests. We feel it could have been handled better and... More

I have been to Hotel Spa Ixtapan three years in a row. I have been to just about all of the spas in the US and find this one to be far superior. The setting, classes, services, accomodations and food are extraordinary. I am hoping to return annually to this wonderful place. I encourage anyone who is thinking about a... More

It is a wonderful place to relax and treat yourself to something special which is "all about me" as the gals always say... More

I was invited here by family; we did not go on a spa package. Also, I'm not one for all-inclusive or resort places so I have little frame of reference. To me, it was a nice enough hotel with two nice pools and a hot tub. However, I would like to emphasize the quality of the food at the main... More

We just spent a week at Hotal Spa Ixtapan, and got the 7-day classic package. They are having a special until July sometime for 25% off a package, holistic spa treatments, and also the round-trip transportation provided by the hotel. That knocks off a pretty decent amount if you are thinking of going right now. It was also their slow... More

My favorite vacation I feel very safe there and worth every penny. You truly feel pampered With all those treatments and exercise you leave feeling great. They improve every year. This year the have internet in the rooms and a new yoga retreat.
