Overlooking Songkhla's famous mermaid statue on the beach, with views of Cat and Rat Islands just off the coast, this hotel's great location is enough to overcome some of the small niggles we found on our week-long stay. The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating (extending our stay from 2 to 6 nights without fuss or drama), and the ease... More

The hotel is good in design but seems not properly maintained. It is just very close to Samila Beach which is perfect to sunset and sunrise. Wifi is very weak. More details at http://laag-libod-suroy.blogspot.com/2015/02/songkhla-thailand-crossing-malaysia.html

Not the high class place I was looking for, the place is big and it can take a while to get to your room. Staff are friendly and helpful, but the place has an aura of decadence which I didn't expect. It's right on the beach and the pool is well placed. Breakfast is excellent.

Wonderful to strol along the beautiful long stretch of beach right in from of the hotel. Iconic bronze marmaid is on the beach. Street vendors selling local craft and local foods is all within the walking distant.

Took a day trip to hat yai but decided to stay by the beach in songkhla.there were only 2 beach hotels listed, the other being the Pavilion nearby, which had a road in between the resort and the beach.Hotel is huge but very run down.there seemed to be adequate staff around but upkeep was really bad.Sea-facing room was great but room was... This hotel has a great location, great view and a great potential to become an amazing resort, The management needs to invest quite some money and turn this hotel into a great attraction for the tourists and locals. This hotel must've been amazing during the 70's, but unfortunately, it hasn't changed since. The pool needs to be cleaned, they have... More

The hotel has a great location but is in dire need of repair ,maintenance and management. The huge empty lobby, the disinterested staff , the lifts that do not work the Mediocre breakfast buffet etc etc are just depressing. The only good thing was the view over the sea.

The hotel does not match it's great location which is right on the beach. The swimming pool is CLOSED and looks in a very sorry state. No WiFi if your on a higher floor. The room was spacious and had all the basics. Rang twice for an extra cup.......but never arrived. Breakfast was basic with little western choices. Both nights... More

........... Is what is lacking. I have stayed at this hotel several times over 20 years, it is better now than previously but could be really good with a little thought and enterprise. No one to help with bags or greet us as we arrived, staff on reception desk find it hard to smile, nowhere near enough tables/chairs/loungers at swimming... More
