The hotel does not match it's great location which is right on the beach. The swimming pool is CLOSED and looks in a very sorry state. No WiFi if your on a higher floor. The room was spacious and had all the basics. Rang twice for an extra cup.......but never arrived. Breakfast was basic with little western choices. Both nights... More

........... Is what is lacking. I have stayed at this hotel several times over 20 years, it is better now than previously but could be really good with a little thought and enterprise. No one to help with bags or greet us as we arrived, staff on reception desk find it hard to smile, nowhere near enough tables/chairs/loungers at swimming... More

The hotel should disclose when the pool is not accessible, as this is one of it's selling points. It is a large Chinese style hotel very well located in front of a very average Thai beach. It is an old building with large rooms and quite good otherwise. My only complaints were that the wifi signal was weak and the... More

BP Samila Beach hotel is right on the Samila Beach of Songkhla. Its restaurant is also a very nice place to enjoy your meals from breakfast to supper, I'd say. My favorite dish is called "Ho Mok Thale" meaning steamed curry seafood. During my stay, one morning, there were several monkeys from a public park nearby visiting me on my... More

BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort in Songkhla Must be 4-5 star hotel, right on the beach. Stayed at 7 floor facing the water, great views, at night, one could make out the lights of oil rigs. All facilities. Good restaurant, I used it only for breakfast.

This hotel is in a wonderful location in a boring city. The hotel is right on Samila beach, and it appears to be a very popular gathering spot for the local people. Not much of an attraction for tourists. The hotel is old and a little run down and in need of some restoration. It certainly isn't up to the... More

Don't bother booking this place for a holiday. You will be disappointed. I was here on business and almost everything in the room was broken, phone, lights, shower and TV. Not to mention all the light's in the room coming on in the middle of the night while sleeping like a poltigest.

We stayed here one night, and found the facility nice overall, though some areas looked very worn. The pool was good, breakfast was adequate. Water was VERY hot---be careful! The separate shower & tub worked well. A/C was almost too cold. Easy transportation to market area. As long as you work out some discount, it's good value.

I am currently staying at BP Samila for business purposes. Like a lot of buildings in the country, the hotel is in need of some TLC but, having spoken with the locals about the situation, it appears that the decline has more to do with the length of lease left than the owner not caring. That said, many choose to... More

The hotel could be the best hotel but like in other hotels in Songkhla, the lack of care, limited maintenance is placing this place below average. Forst when you come in, the lobby is huge but empty, waste of space, the staff at the reception is not especially friendly, but ok. Then to access the room, the lift is pretty... More
