BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort in Songkhla Must be 4-5 star hotel, right on the beach. Stayed at 7 floor facing the water, great views, at night, one could make out the lights of oil rigs. All facilities. Good restaurant, I used it only for breakfast.

This hotel is in a wonderful location in a boring city. The hotel is right on Samila beach, and it appears to be a very popular gathering spot for the local people. Not much of an attraction for tourists. The hotel is old and a little run down and in need of some restoration. It certainly isn't up to the... More

Don't bother booking this place for a holiday. You will be disappointed. I was here on business and almost everything in the room was broken, phone, lights, shower and TV. Not to mention all the light's in the room coming on in the middle of the night while sleeping like a poltigest.

We stayed here one night, and found the facility nice overall, though some areas looked very worn. The pool was good, breakfast was adequate. Water was VERY hot---be careful! The separate shower & tub worked well. A/C was almost too cold. Easy transportation to market area. As long as you work out some discount, it's good value.

I am currently staying at BP Samila for business purposes. Like a lot of buildings in the country, the hotel is in need of some TLC but, having spoken with the locals about the situation, it appears that the decline has more to do with the length of lease left than the owner not caring. That said, many choose to... More

The hotel could be the best hotel but like in other hotels in Songkhla, the lack of care, limited maintenance is placing this place below average. Forst when you come in, the lobby is huge but empty, waste of space, the staff at the reception is not especially friendly, but ok. Then to access the room, the lift is pretty... More

I last stayed at and reviewed this hotel a bit over three years ago and not a great deal has changed. I had a room on the 7th floor with a good view overlooking the ocean. The room was kept clean and as before, the staff were helpful and friendly. There were no tea/coffee making facilities available in the room,... More

The hotel is quite old and in dire need of an update. The staff are moderately helpful, the breakfast in the morning is OK at best but the rooms leave a LOT to be desired. I can deal with old but there were parts of the room that were borderline unsanitary. The toilet seat had a pretty disgusting yellow rim... More
