There is a wide selection of good food both Thai cuisine and western food all at a very reasonable price. Although bacon for breakfast is not on show it is available if you ask. The beach is one of the best we have ever seen and is kept clean and tidy with regular clean up squads. Fishing from the beach... more
This hotel lies at the north end of Simila Beach and is the best hotel in Songkhla at this time. Rooms are large and comfortable but only 3 star by European standards. Only local TV channels available but furnishings are ok. Bed was king size and clean but mattress was about the hardest I have ever slept on. Nice pool... more
This was to have been a pleasant and quiet interlude in the middle of a hectic two weeks overland journey from Singapore to Bangkok. The hotel itself is OK, especially for the price and the staff try to be friendly and helpful although their collective knowledge of English is close to being non-existent. The hotel claims it has a semi-private... more
Service friendly and efficient. Try getting a sea view its worth the extra. Local fish resturants 5 minutes walk (North), and a muslim village (20 ins walk), South. 9 hole golf course next door. Local bars on Sadoe Road (5 mins in a tuk-tuk (40baht)) ask for Crown Hotel. Opposite is the Parlang bar (good food), this is an ex-pat... more

The hotel is well appointed and maintained. The staff is friendly and attentive. Primary language is Thai, little, if any, english spoken. Service quality is high. Rooms and... more

Going in the winter is tricky, of course, because of the monsoon season, and it was very windy. But the beach is very pretty, a... more
We have been visiting Hat Samilla (Siamilla beach) more than 5 times. It's one of the most loevliest places on earth - and sure our favorite place in the whole of Thailand. But sadly the last year the terrorists in the deep south makes it dangerous for torurist to travel to this beautiful pearl of Thailand. If you ever want... more
We have recently returned (end March 2005) from a short stay at the BP Samila Beach, which is in the town of Songkhla, about 30 minutes by taxi from Hat Hai. Taxi fare 500 bhts. ALL the staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make sure that our stay was as good as they could possibly... more
