The place is expensive for what you get and that its in Mae Sot. The room was kind of small. The bathroom had a tub (which is rare). The breakfast buffet was great. The service was good. The hotel is in a good location, and it has reasonably priced bicycle rentals.

Although this is scarcely a flagship for the Centara brand (it was built when Asai highway One looked like it would link Thailand with Burma) and is pretty faded these days it's still the best option if you're working in Mae sot. We stayed 3 nights in this Centara Hotel for a very, very good price. The location is nice and quiet. Breakfast okay. Location just outside the city. You can take the hotel van to the city centre (80 baht p.p.).

The Centara Mae Sot Hill Resort is easy to find and very well located close to the town, the Burmese border and and Rim Moei Market. Having read through previous comments and knowing how bad Thai hotels can be I was surprised and pleased with what we found. On the outskirts of the the town, the hotel is not a resort, but you can see lots of hills in the near distance. We stayed in room 406, and there was nothing to complain about at all.... More

Even though one should accept the fact that there is a small market for good tourist hotels in Mae Sot, there is no excuse for a chain like Centara to offer such a terrible place, rundown appearance, dirty rooms, old and broken furnishings, and i could go on.
