Buakham Resort is situated in the middle of the Buddhist tourist area of the Golden Triangle, where Myanmar, Laos and Thailand meet. It is actually NOT in Chiang Saen city, as I found out to my surprise last week! The town is called Wiang and is 10 km. north of Chiang Saen. Although my purpose was to explore the ruins... More

The room was adequate, although small, with a fridge and reasonably comfortable bed. The bathroom was musty and lacked ventilation. The river view from the balcony, if you ignored the bus station, was very pleasant and a nice place to sit and observe the comings and goings of the golden triangle. We would have given this guesthouse a 3 star... More
