I arrived in this hotel after a two-month research expedition at sea. It's literally across the street from the harbor, so getting in from the dock is no effort. The rooms were very large (more American style than European or Asian, really), and the lobby is opulently detailed, with a nice coffee bar for an off-hours latte or snack. I... More

The hotel was relatively large for two people. Adding to that, it was really spacious, as it was the first hotel when I stepped into Taiwan, Evergreen definitely surpassed my standards for 5 star hotel. Toiletries were definitely eco friendly for they did offer to reuse, in the event, if it was not used/dirty. Pretty much of an eye opener... More

We were told that this is a 5-star hotel by Keelung Harbor in Taipei. And upon arrival, I decided the term "5-star" would have applied more accurately about 15 years ago. Don't get me wrong, I have no major complaints about this hotel. Customer service was good -- the doorman was friendly, the staff at the gym and pool very... More

This hotel is manage by Evergreen (which owns also the Eva air and Evergreen container lines) . This hotel is by far, the better one in the port of Keelung. However the hotel looks a bit outdated(it still uses keys instead of key cards!) However the size of the rooms are larger in comparative to the ones in Taipei and... More

Although 5 star hotel, we found the standard not so fantastic. Except for toiletries, other items we below par. Bed was not comfortable. Pillow was hard. Did not have a good night sleep. Breakfast was not fantastic for a 5 star standard. There was not much sides to accompany the porridge and staff did not recommend or inform guests about... More

It's not a new hotel, but it's probably still the largest and Evergreen has done a decent job trying to keep it fresh. The staffs are super friendly and the location is fairly nice ... for Keelung. At night you see the boats in the harbour and lights from the hilly residences across. It's not a gorgeous harbour area, but... More

The hotel is old but we'll maintained. The lift is really slow and the staff are so young and inexperienced coming to handling of situation. Breakfast ... Must show voucher to have breakfast . No compromised , no voucher no food. They can't even speak and communicate in basic English and expected you to cater to their operation standard ...I... More

I would have rated this an average to very good hotel if the bed had not been rock hard. I have had better sleep on a compressed foam bedroll in a tent. Totally unacceptable. There was also only one over soft pillow each and we had to ask for more. Otherwise the location is good, close to the night market... More

Really enjoyed watching the cruise ships and the navy coming and going. Pool was great. Wifi a bit flaky. Didn't think much of the breakfast. Salad stuff ok, but little by way of fruit or western breakfast. Night market had great food. Caught a taxi from the train station - had to point the way as Laurel Evergreen in English... More

Very nice view of the harbor, great location. Wonderful lobby area refreshments. Just be aware though that Chinese beds are like concrete, even in classy hotels! Clean hotel with friendly staff. Even just to sit in the lobby and have a drink you are treated like royalty!!
