I stayed in Kensington Stars Hotel from Dec 27 to 28, 2015. I have forgotten my Gucci Scarp (Made in Italy!)... More

I booked this hotel on a solo trip to Seoraksan as the Hostel within the park was fully booked. The stay was pleasant. It is situated right at the entrance to the park and you get a scenic view of the mountains from the restaurant. However, the hotel is a little dated and the corridors are poorly lit at night.... We were glad we made the right choice and chose Kensington Stars Hotel. It's at the doorsteps of the park entrance and is surrounded by the beautiful scenic forest and mountains. Though the hotel is old it has an English old world charm interior, full of English memorabilia. The room is comfortable but needs an extra chair . The front... More

This hotel needs revamping as the decor is old and tired. The strange smell others mentioned is the mustiness of old rooms and old furniture. But open the windows to let in the fresh air all around the hotel. We only stayed one night, but by the next morning, the smell was gone. Our room was spacious, and the bathroom... More

"This is KOREA- Private Day Tours" recommended Kensington Stars Hotel as one of the hotels to stay at for our tour of the Seoraksan National Park. It was perfect because we were able to park our vehicle in their lot as hotel guests, which was a 10 minute walk to the entrance. Other people had to walk about 30 minutes... More

Stayed for one night - given the price I expected some kind of luxury to show for it but was disappointed. We experienced efficient but cold service, we stayed in a shoebox room that could barely fit our luggage and the hotel had a tacky vibe that was incongruous with the beautiful location (not to mention the strange smell). The... More

When you are on holiday in Seoul you must visit the Seoraksan National Park. A limo bus brings you there in less than 4 hours and a taxi from the bus terminal to the Kensington hotel is about KRW12000 and takes less then 30min. We chose this hotel as it is walking distance from the park. It's big and you... More

Yes, you are paying mainly for the view and walking convenience to the Saroksan National Park, but our room was clean and neat and the breakfast buffet very good. Only minor oddities, like the toilet paper was almost two arm lengths away. Visiting dignitaries all seemed to be in 1999, maybe past its prime but so am I and I'm... More

Great locator inside the park, but other then that not a great hotel. The guest floors and rooms were very dated, worn and kind of dirty. Both rooms we got smelled of smoke, and there was not much they could do since it seems like most of the rooms smell. We were there in mid Sept, which is off-season, and... More
