Location wise, this hotel is the closest you can get to the entrance of Mt. Seorak. The hotel is definitely a 5 star hotel and probably the best in the area. Staff are friendly and speak good English. Room is spacious and the toiletries are nice (verbena fragrance). Very limited choice of food unfortunately when I was there though there... More

The reception staff dress as Beefeater guards, which is really all you need to know about a place. We stayed here for its convenient location to Seoraksan National Park with its beautiful hiking and really enjoyed the hotel's quirky British ambience. The staff were wonderfully friendly, as with almost everywhere we stayed in Korea, and the room was warm and... More

I give this hotel a 4 because of the location otherwise i would give it a 3. The room was pricey and average compared to American standard hotels. We booked our room through expedia for 3 adults and when we got here they tried to say no they only had a room for 2 adults after much conversation they upgraded... More

We decided to enjoy Seoul's countryside attractions and got a great deal at Kensington. The hotel looks fantastic but a little bit old fashioned, though they put a great effort in decorating the hotel in a British style. The staff is friendly and they all speak English pretty well. I recommend not to stay more than 1 night. We got... More

My stay in Kensington was very comfortable. Staff was very attentive to our needs, it was low season when we checked in, the surroundings were serene and well kept. This is the nearest hotel (by international standards) in front of the national park, making it a good base to start your journey if you want a relaxing and cozy night... More

We got a great deal through Agoda (as a long term user), we saw the price quote sticked to the door in our room showed that the reg price of our room was USD$300+ but we paid less than half ($140?? just about) we were there in late April. Weather was not too cool and not hot yet, perfect for... More

We chose this hotel as it's the closest to the national park where we wanted to walk for a few days. It's quite impressive from the outside and the lobby is nice. The rooms are OK, a bit small unless you opt for mountain view - we had paid for this but didn;t get it which was annoying. They didn;t... More

Lovely hotel with english feel. Great view and our room were very clean. Every floor has a different theme, interesting indeed! Specially when the lift door opened on every floor.. :) Their toilet was amazing too with a heater system and a comfortable one to use especially during winter. Staffs were friendly and helpful. Would love to go back again!

I think the website describes this hotel very accurately. I'd say it certainly is 4 star standard. The bed was the best we've had in Korea. We paid about $170 per night, expensive for us, but with such spectacular scenery and hiking at the front door its cheap. Their attempt at a western breakfast was pretty woeful but hungry hikers... We very much enjoyed our stay at this Eclectic hotel. The room was a music themed room that had a toilet that I thought could fly. State of the art toilet with heated seat :) which was great with the cold and snowy weather. Enjoyed the proximity to the Seoraksan park. Would stay again but not at full price, I... More
