when in gensan, a chic hotel awaits you, Tierra Montana along national highway. located at the heart of the city, walking distance to SM mall of gensan, near a tertiary hospital and fast food chain jolibee. the rooms are clean, linens the best. it has a big pool and shallow pool for kids, the rates are so reasonable for the... We had guests visiting General Santos City and we recommended Tierra Montana because they seem to have decent looking rooms and a pool for the kinds. It's very disappointing to say that the hotel is understaffed as much as it has poor facilities. I can never imagine why their waiters from the bar have to serve people dining in the... More

I used to be billeted in this hotel during my company sponsored lectures in GenSan, at the time when bigger hotels were not yet built in GenSan. I frequented the hotel then coz it's cheap , has a pool and very tasty food offerings. At 1600 per night it's a value for money. Room is very spacious, kept clean despite... More

The Tierra Montana has the chance to be a good hotel but sadly fails. I stayed for two weeks with my partner in a matrimonial room Feb to March 2014. They have a black out at least twice a day. During these times they switch to generator power. It can take several minutes for them to do this as it... More

We haven't heard of Tierra Montana so we were really surprised to find a nice little hotel inconspicuously tucked in the middle of General Santos City. We did not have room reservation since we were supposed to stay in a beach resort a little over an hour away from GenSan. We were happy to have found Tierra Montana which is... More

Read some reviews on the hotel and decided to try it any way. Jetlagged from travel from Australia with long stop overs, the last thing i wanted was door constantly slamming beside our room when the house maids went outside. The desk was approached about this but it didn't stop. The pool was a odd milky colour and then was... More

value for money accomodation in gensan. beds are really comfortable. rooms are sized well and staff are really courteous. location-wise very accesible. the setback though is the absence of a full resto amenity. food service can be availed on room service or at the blue bar which us quite small for a hotel like tierta montana which is always fully... I decided to get this hotel on my vacation because of the reviews here. Unfortunately, I think I expected too much. When I arrived at the airport (Sep15), the hotel driver welcomed us (but never talked to us during the entire transfer trip) though the receptionists were also friendly. very accommodating. Though we arrived at 9:30 am and our check-in... More

This hotel is back off the road so not so much traffic noise but pool parties can be noisy and staff sitting by pool talking and laughing have the night, otherwise great to stay at and for the price pretty ok by us. Lucy & Peter. Brisbane Australia

Tierra Montana Hotel is located on the National Highway, not too far from the more well know East Asia Royale Hotel. This hotel is much more economical, and still offers a safe and clean environment. It is more locally run, seemingly knowing their guests more personably than the Royale Hotel. The standard room is P1550, add P100 for a refrigerator... More
