Given the reviews, photos and website of the hotel we expected this hotel to be of higher standard. Generally it was fine but certainly not up to the level we expected. We stayed their for one night before connecting to Naga City. As is typical with hotels in the Philippines they are not maintained to a high standard, the building... More

Stayed here for 2 nights since a colleague mentioned that it has the best view of Mayon. True enough the hotel location was perfect if you want to experience the Mayon's beauty all day, but sadly thats it... Other than the view of Mayon everything else is deteriorating. 1. Hotel elevator - was a nightmare! It was not functioning well,... More

Definitely the place to be if you want to appreciate the splendor of Mt. Mayon but that is probably the main highlight of your stay. As reviewed by others, the lobby was impressive but it was hot inside as the airconditioning was off 24/7 when I was there. Check in was slow and a bit chaotic but the staff were... More

Upon our arrival in the airport, shuttle driver named Rick was waiting for us to be brought to the hotel(Airport transfers are part of package). The shuttle driver was very accommodating and was kind as well. Upon check in there was a couple who were checking in ahead of us, we like waited for half an hour before our turn... More

Hotel lobby is huge! And empty, probably management has no idea what to do with their huge space. Coffee shop is average, expensive drinks, rooms are average nothing special. The main resto also average nothing really caught our fancy. Food is usual filipino fare, gym is crap. Nobody to ask for towels, old equipment, no drinking water available. Don't expect... More

I stayed in this hotel for a week during our Volcanology Course with Chris Newhall in June 2012 and for a day last year. It's complete with amenities such as gym, swimming pool right beside the deck where you can view the stars at night and a wide lounge area with a big piano. I'm not sure though if guests... More

The Hotel has the best location, slightly above the city with a great view of Mayon Volcano from the Pool, Bar and restaurant. Rooms are nice and there is an excellent Wifi. The Hotel is poorly maintenained and no management is visible. Our Safe had no battery and they wouldn't fix it while we were there. The restaurant was dirty... More

My family of six stayed at The Oriental for four nights. Unfortunately they never failed to disappoint everyday. Touted as the only luxury hotel in Legazpi, the facilities and amenities of a luxury hotel are present, such as spacious rooms and bathrooms, swimming pool, and a pretty lobby and restaurant. Oh, I'll definitely won't forget the majestic views of Mayon... More

Upon reaching Legaspi City I tag alone with my boss to see what kind of a hotel he has. Iam glad I didn't follow the advice of my colleagues of reserving for this hotel. Everything wrong about a hotel is done here. Classic example the lobby has no A/C on and it was in the middle of the day with... More

We had our second visit here. Hotel has still the best view in Legaspi, and excellent service with very friendly employes. The food is very good but simple and affordable. Here you can try several local specialties and Bicol area has good food. The hotel still need upgrade, but some have been made since the last visit. We had a... More
