Pros: 1. Location - near a lot of restaurants and points of interest 2. Nice cozy bed with clean bed linens (very homely and one of the most comfortable beds i've stayed in) 3. Front Desk Staff were polite and eager to please (special thanks to Ms. Ren) Cons: 1. Parking space is limited. had to double park and be... More

Pros: The view – But to be honest, it wasn’t able to save it from all the cons. Cons: 1. The flat pillows - Albeit being big, flat hotel pillows are unacceptable. I called the receptionist, and they provided me with mediocre ones saying that it’s the best they have at the moment. 2. The remote control – When I... More

We spent our christmas day here and we were blown away by the rustic vibe of the place and it extends to our room. The garden view of Taal volcano is truly amazing! The place looks nondescript outside, but you will definitely be transported to tranquil haven once you go in. Free breakfast is presented beautifully and we find them... More

Pros: The location was very good and accessible. All the rooms on my floor had a very good view of the lake. Had it not been for these two points I would give a one star overall review. Cons: The place needs some refurbishing. The room lacked proper lighting and had an awful musty smell. Thank God for the electric... More

Recently, on our way to Taal, we had breakfast at this very homey restaurant. We left Manila just before 6am and arrived at Joaquin's at 7am. Since I called them up the night before, they were expecting us. But there's no need to make advance reservation, since they are already open at 7am. The place is small with a homey... More

My Girlfriend is Fillipina, and I let her book this holiday, this was our second place to stay and I loved it, we stayed in one of the garden rooms, lovely comfy bed, great distressed look of the decor, the views are amazing, the staff so polite, as are all Phillpino/a, and breakfast was brought down to us which we... My whole family and I went here and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Although our reservation didnt include food/breakfast it didn't matter because we thoroughly enjoyed the view outside our rooms, the Taal volcano in all its beauty. The fresh air, pretty flowers surrounding the gardens and the attentiveness of the staff was all worth the money we... More

We stayed in the Purple room with garden view. Room is spacious with a big king-sized bed and soft and clean linens. It smells amazingly good -- same feeling as one walks into a spa. Mini-garden offers great view esp during late afternoon - suggest to bring cheese, crackers and wine to enjoy it even more. Breakfast is filling and... More

It is not the first time we stayed in Joaquin's in Tagaytay but our latest visit will not be our last as well. We stayed in Joaquin's for 3 days and 2 nights to celebrate our anniversary as a couple. We chose Joaquin's for its peaceful and quiet solitude it offers. Upon arriving, we were greeted by the friendly staff... More

We booked a room here as it had gorgeous views of the lake and volcano. However, as one reviewer noted, the views from the first floor were partially obscured by the rooftops of the ground floor rooms. What we really liked was the romantic cosiness of the room with its country decor. The bed was absolute heaven, with its firm... More
