We stayed 37 days in Nepal, and rated this as the best of all our hotels. Himalayan Horizon is a modern, multi-structure compound. 24 of the 30 rooms have balconies and mountain views. Our room was SPACIOUS, with a comfortable king bed plus a twin, a sunken seating area with 12' windows opening onto a balcony with a gorgeous view... More

I did an unfavourable review this hotel a few years ago and have decided to review again. The first couple of times I stayed at the Himalayan Horizon I was given a room in the first block - which is the oldest. These rooms have not changed and still have very hard beds. They are in desperate need of refurbishment... More

An unique place in Dhulikhel. The building itself merges with the Nepalese nature. Relaxed hospitality. Good place to chill out, have a small conference or just drop by for breakfast. Great view of the Himalayas infront. Little pricey, but worth it!!!

We spent a night here in late December and were very disappointed. Our room was large but was very cold and the small fan heater was inadequate for the task. The hard mattresses were stone cold and seemed to stay that way all night. The bedding consisting mainly of blankets was heavy and no hot water bottles mentioned by another... More

Hotel architecture is kind of cool and very historic feeling. Location is relaxing and offers the potential for great views of the Himalayas, though fog significantly impeded our view both days we were there. Rooms are very large but have not been updated. Rooms also all seem to have balconies which for me was a great feature. Restaurant/lounge is decent... More

We had travelled to Nepal recently for a conference, and to our luck, were put up at this beautiful hotel. Its location is wonderful with a view of the beautiful mountains from the windows. The rooms are spacious, clean with clean linen ( most important for one's peace of mind!) and clean bathrooms. There's free wifi so staying in touch... More

Palatial rooms and quiet ambiance with a very attentive staff. This hotel has been here for at least 30 years. The building reflect a level of craftsmanship not seen today, although they do appear to have suffered a bit from deferred maintenance. Sipping a G & T on the spacious patio with the snow capped Himalayas in a panoramic display... More

My students and I stayed here for two nights while in Dhulikhel as part of a school trip to Nepal. The staff were extremely hospitable and made us feel right at home, and Mr. Shrestha, the owner and longtime mayor of Dhulikhel, went out of his way to welcome us and teach us some of the history of his community.... Best hotel in Dhulikhel. Great view + food + hospitality :) , The rooms were huge and the views were nice. We can see the sunrise from our room. We have lunch and dinner at the restaurant and they were great ; chinese style food for lunch and Nepalese food for dinner. We love the Nepalese food. The hotel manager... More

The rooms were huge and nice but it was too cold and out of my comfort. They had a small heater in the room and the heater did not work. The wifi was very slow and weak in the room. The breakfast was okay!! But the view was terrific in the early afternoon, you could see a better view of... More
