Probably the only real reason to stay at Dhulikhel Lodge Resort is the view. The hotel is maginificently perched on the mountain, overlooking a terraced valley with the Himalayas lurking in the background (but usually obscured by clouds). The hotel itself is pleasant enough, but a bit on the "tired" side. Like many places in Nepal, they just don't seem... More

I stayed at the Dhulikhel Lodge Resort for 10 nights in January. It is true, the rooms do not have heat, and are not well insulated. Bring warm pj's and a knit hat to wear to bed, as the outside temperature was in the 30's at night (mid-60's during the day). At 8:30 PM without fail a hot water bottle... More

I brought a group there in November and everyone had the same opinion. At first glance, yes, the room are nice enough and the view is great. But have the other reviewers stayed there in the winter time? They have no heat in the rooms. They do have only 3 portable heaters which were pretty useless. They will give you... More

I must start by saying we did not actually stay in this lovely place but stumbled on it while driving around. One look and we could not resist stopping for a snack and a drink. Its is beautifully located on a mountain side and designed so that, at multiple levels, there are a number of places where you can sit... More

stayed for two nights, rooms are clean, bathroom with hand-shower, foods good, all menu in coffee shop not available, no lifts, mosquito, generator does not operate after 10pm. Nice view of mountains. Best for rest, trekking.

This little jewel is a 45min drive outside Kathmandu, in the middle of rice fields, facing the mountains. The view is spectacular. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated, each room is different and has a different charme, each room has a balcony There is a teakettle to brew a tea or coffee and enjoy sitting outside and watching the sun... This is hard to evaluate. The position of this hotel is stunning. To sit out on the balcony and watch the mountains peaking over the clouds floating in the valley below them as the dawn light glows pink is sublime. The hotel is designed around the view, and it can be enjoyed from many of the rooms, the terrace and... More

You will have the perfect view of the mountains from the rooms so for staying a night or two this is the perfect choice... The amenities in the rooms are quite old and should be changed..The resort is quite big and the restaurant is in the main building so choose your rooms accordingly or else you may have to walk... I had lunch here while touring the Kathmandu area. Very nice view from the restaurant of the valley below; clouds covered the Annapurna range, unfortunately. However, the excellent wine and a good meal made up for the lack of a perfect view.

visited many times and pent few night... they need to improve facilities in rooms... installed items are quite old... location-wise, it's perfect from Kathmandu... and beautiful scene of Himalaya/villages of Kavre district... the place is simply beautiful...
