Nice well kept resort but as other reviews note food is way over priced and tours booked through hotel very expensive. Best to make your own arrangements. The breakfast buffet was good and was included with my room. But I knew all this before arriving, so was not surprised. I did find the staff to be friendly and being there... More

Although we did not have a river view the grounds were well tended with native plants. The room was small but comfortable with a porch to sit and have morning coffee. Staff was friendly and nice. I would definitely return and ask for a river view room.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but I felt as though I was being nickel-and-dimed the entire time I was there. The staff treated us as though we were ignorant travelers, suggesting that we eat at the hotel rather than local restaurants and pay for a private driver rather than use a local taxi service, which would have cost us over... The hotel grounds are nice and manicured. The staff is friendly. But that can be expected everywhere. I was expecting something outstanding for this price during off season. And unfortunately could not find that something special... Breakfast is weak. Internet patchy. Rooms OK but somewhat outdated. Check i n took long and at the end they forgot to give the... More

Burma's popularity means that even average accommodation in the tour group destinations is extortionately overpriced by southeast Asian standards..so guess one must just swallow this. I stayed here 15 years ago when it was US$80 a night and was just fine. Prices are now triple that. On the positive side, the resort has been very well maintained, even if the... More

The river front rooms are the only ones I would book as they are large and have beautiful views however they are a little dark with the dark wood and not enough light. Still a beautiful place. Food was ok, not great and breakfast starts a bit late at 0700 for the early flights all the airlines run. I would... More

Staff were friendly and attentive, they allowed us to check in early at around 7:00am since there are rooms available. Room was spacious and clean with sufficient air-conditioning. Dinner was a bit pricey compared to other restaurants but it was worth the money. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring old Bagan, just 5-10 minutes ride by electric... More

With extensive landscaped grounds and a glorious sunset view of the Irrawaddy, a stay at this long established resort will help to ensure the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. Budget and availability permitting, I would recommend a stay in one of the resort’s spacious Deluxe River View rooms, all of which boast incredible views and easy access to the... More

Stayed for one night with friends. Bungalow overlooking the water is lovely and the views are great. Staff are really friendly and attentive. Breakfast is great. Mix of egg and bacon, fruit and local food. Air con in rooms is not very efficient, I was hot all night. Ask for a fan to be brought to the room. Swimming pool... More

As part of a group of 30 or so people it's sometimes hard to find a hotel that can give a consistent level of service. This hotel was magic from start to finish. The rooms were clean and Air C worked well. The restaurant facility was more than adequate for breakfast and dinner (we didn't have lunch there). Make sure... More
