Rooms( bungalows) where amazing. Food was excellent . The pool was clean, with a shallow end and a higher end(5 feet 5). the staff were friendly and eager to help with anything ranging from bus time tables to trips around Bagan. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I am planning to go back in a few years.

Really nice hotel, with a fantastic position in the river side, an outdoor pool were to relax after the long excursions days, and relax drinking a cocktail watching the sunset over the river. Not a great breakfast and a quite short food menu at dinner.

The gardens and swimming pool of this hotel are absolutely stunning! The hotel has 4 different categories of rooms. The superior rooms are too basic in my opinion. They are clean and nice, but not pretty. The second best rooms (Japanese bungalows) are really good, but quite pricy. The food and drinks at the hotel are very expensive. The staff... More

Staff and service were excellent. Dinner at the restaurant was moderate at best. The rooms were very basic, we stayed in standard rooms. But the setting and view from the lobby, terrace and pool are absolutely beautiful. Located on the river this might be one of the best spots to spend sunset with a cocktail

Nice well kept resort but as other reviews note food is way over priced and tours booked through hotel very expensive. Best to make your own arrangements. The breakfast buffet was good and was included with my room. But I knew all this before arriving, so was not surprised. I did find the staff to be friendly and being there... More

Although we did not have a river view the grounds were well tended with native plants. The room was small but comfortable with a porch to sit and have morning coffee. Staff was friendly and nice. I would definitely return and ask for a river view room.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful, but I felt as though I was being nickel-and-dimed the entire time I was there. The staff treated us as though we were ignorant travelers, suggesting that we eat at the hotel rather than local restaurants and pay for a private driver rather than use a local taxi service, which would have cost us over... The hotel grounds are nice and manicured. The staff is friendly. But that can be expected everywhere. I was expecting something outstanding for this price during off season. And unfortunately could not find that something special... Breakfast is weak. Internet patchy. Rooms OK but somewhat outdated. Check i n took long and at the end they forgot to give the... More

Burma's popularity means that even average accommodation in the tour group destinations is extortionately overpriced by southeast Asian standards..so guess one must just swallow this. I stayed here 15 years ago when it was US$80 a night and was just fine. Prices are now triple that. On the positive side, the resort has been very well maintained, even if the... More

The river front rooms are the only ones I would book as they are large and have beautiful views however they are a little dark with the dark wood and not enough light. Still a beautiful place. Food was ok, not great and breakfast starts a bit late at 0700 for the early flights all the airlines run. I would... More
