We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful looted, it was so relaxing and its position on the banks of the Irrawaddi was perfect, the sunset over the river was beautiful. The staff were charming, the rooms were comfortable, little bungalows dotted around a lovely garden. The food wasn't the greatest we had in Myanmar but the position of the... More

This is a beautiful hotel. using a subdued but elegant architecture it is situated in the archeological area of Bagan with a gorgeous exit to the river. The rooms are comfortable clean and modern and this is the only hotel in Myanmar we have seen that actually restock the room during the day as possible and necessary The breakfast was... More

This was a perfectly located hotel to stay in for our visit to Bagan as it was a very short distance from Old Bagan. We stayed for two nights in a Deluxe River View room which was very comfortable with a wonderful view over the river. We ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant which were excellent.

Situated in beautiful gardens, and fronting onto the Irrawaddy River, this resort has spacious rooms that are located in bungalows (4 rooms to a bungalow) scattered through the gardens. The rooms are basic four star level. The restaurant has a great view, but the service is ordinary (my main arrived before the soup), and the food very patchy (soup great,... More

As the name suggests an absolute sanctuary after a day's hard sightseeing. As another viewer has suggested, the setting could not have been better, the breakfasts were a triumph and the pool was a blessing. It's proximity to the main sights allowed us the freedom of renting bikes - or borrowing bikes as this was free from the hotel and... More

Glad to leave after 3 days and multiple struggles with the staff. We were very unfortunately downgraded in our booking to a superior room and were told to blame it on my travel agent, but now that I am here, I understand there is nothing they could have done: the staff is super difficult and says NO to every request!... After 2 days in Yangon, arriving at Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort was like arriving at an oasis. The setting by the river is gorgeous and its proximity to the highlights of the Bagan plain is priceless. We rented bikes and set off from here to explore the nearby temples everyday for about a week. We stayed in one of the... More

The hotel is well situated for touring the temples, pagodas and stupas. Our room, a river view suite, was large and comfortable. It had its own veranda overlooking the river. The grounds and pool area are lush. The pool is quite picturesque in its setting with the Irrawaddy River as its background. The sunsets were amazing. In terms of the... More

This hotel in the archaeological zone with temples on property brings you back to a time when things were done at a slower pace. Arriving in the lobby you are greeted by a warm staff that seems to speak every language known to man. The rooms are in bungalows surrounded by beautiful gardens along the river. The room appeared to... More

We stayed 3 nights in August. They have nice restaurants where you can find a wonderful view of Ayeyarwady River and (if you are not unlucky) beautiful sunset. The foods and drinks are also good. In fact, I made a proposal to my girlfriend with the help from hotel staffs. They had prepared, flowers, music, cakes. Everything was perfect including the outcome.This... More
