We stayed three nights in this hotel; like a lot of mid-class hotels in myanmar they have bungalow-style rooms. The room and especially the bathroom were spacious but outdated; matrasses differ in quality (we had one too hard matress). They have a nice spacious saltwater swimmingpool. Service quality was good and friendly

The Thante hotel is located centrally in the town of Nyaung Oo in Bagan. The service is great and the staff will go to no end to help you with and questions no matter how big or small. The rooms are a little dated (I think they are slowly upgrading them) and the airconditioning units have a little trouble cooling... More

The hotel was a bit over our normal price range at 65usd, but the pool in the desert-hot bagan and nice bungalows made it worth it. The hotel is a bit away from the center, but with a bike you are ther in no time. Staff is friendly and breakfast ok. You will enjoy your stay!

We picked Thante Hotel primarily for their swimming pool as we anticipated the heat whilst visiting Bagan. The service was good, although not nearly as friendly and thorough as we were used to in our 3 week visit to Myanmar. Breakfast was fine, with a buffet of pastries/croissants from their next-door bakery, but you should come early if you want... More

The pros: The pool area is fantastic (a real plus given the hot June weather) and open late, the staff are very friendly and our room was spacious. The cons: it was an unlit15-minute walk from the restaurant strip and though the room was air-conditioned the adjoining bathroom opened up to the hot outside with just mosquito netting covering it.... Pleasant place in Nyuang U, we stayed for 2 nights in July (off season). A nice place but with some uncharacteristic downfalls for a local hotel -- When you first get to your room, make sure your fridge is turned on! Ours was not and it then took about a day for our drinks to cool down. Also, as mentioned... More

Our friend recommended this place & I double checked the reviews here at Trip Advisor. Turns out our stay here was okay - no problems. May at Reception was very helpful with information of the area. Our room with double bed was only at $65 per night. Hotel keeps this rate all throughout the year - whether peak or low... More

A nice hotel with very attentive staff. Everyone gets their own little bungalow. Very roomy with old fashioned furniture. The grounds are attractive and well kept. Beautiful tropical setting. Since this was our honeymoon they covered our floor and bed with flowers and baked us a special heart-shaped cake. A very nice touch. A few negatives, although not terribly bad,... More

Okay I'm not really sure if the rooms here are called bungalows. But they are arranged around a very pleasant garden and pool. Rooms are spacious and bathrooms seem to be remodeled, modern tile/marble look. Location is at a busy intersection in town. It is not, though, on the main backpacker drag of bars and restaurants and bike rental shops.... More
