Very quiet place, you see the top of one of the most beautifull temple from the nice swimming pool; romantic the evening. Perfect breakfast with a view of the river. Just outside the wall of the old Bagan, there are nice shops and restaurants at correct prices => good expense to enjoy the visit of Bagan. No reason to go... More

I enjoyed my stay at Bagan Thanda hotel although the room they gave me was rather shabby, no view at all as it was next to the entrance to the hotel... and I think the price for that room is a bit expensive for what it was... although they let me checked in at 6am in the morning as I... More

The Bagan Thande Hotel is one of these hotels you might everywhere were The Prince of Wales or other colonial royalty has been in the 1920s (e.g. the Treetop Hotel in Kenya). Built for their stay in a superb location. This specific charme you still find at the Bagan Thande Hotel. Therefore, it is not a boutique hotel, but has... More

The Bagan Thande hotel provides very reasonably priced accommodations in a lovely setting, gardens that are well-kept, but not so well-kept that you miss the sense of nature's spontaneous embrace. I left the Thande to spend two days (and nights) at the hotel next door which was a mistake. I had read in a guidebook that the Thande was dated... More

We really enjoyed our stay here on the banks of the Irrawaddy! Accommodation in nice ( even if rather shabby/chic ) bungalows (unless you really want to splash out for a full riverside one ,don't bother opting for superior one). Helpful staff, nice riverside restaurant, and booked us a river trip to Mandalay.

From Yangon city, my friends and I headed towards Bagan city. On our way to the hotel, we were mesmerized by the numerous pagoda and temples lined up along our way. This hotel is exactly what I wanted because it is not located at the center of the city, away from the noise but close enough to see the places... More

We arrived on the very early flight from Yangon and reception worked hard to get our rooms ready for us on arrival. We only waited about 10 minutes in the end! Which was wonderful after a 4.30am start and they were very helpful throughout our stay, advising on e bikes and arranging a taxi to take us to mandalay at... More

Older style resort with good bungalow rooms. The main building, reception area was built in 1922 for a visit from Prince of Wales. Rooms are spacious and well maintained. The restaurant on the river bank was a pleasant place to relax after a full day of visiting thousands of temples. The food & drinks were good with great service. A... More

Had a great stay with a friend at this hotel. Rooms are clean and well located, staff is nice and on top of things ! Bring ear plugs maybe, some frogs can have quite a concert at night but hey, this is nature, and it’s worth it considering the environment of the hotel. The food at the hotel restaurant comes...
