Burma accommodation has excess demand over supply and value for money is therefore rather poor. Bagan is 2nd worst for this, after Yangon. With that in mind, Ruby True can be a good compromise. It is on the outskirts of New Bagan, so rather far from the action. It means it's quiet and good value for large, well equipped rooms... More

Had a lovely stay at the Ruby True Hotel. Great staff. Clean, quiet rooms. I chose to eat in the restaurant one night and had an excellent meal. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the center of new Bagan, however, the walk never inconvenienced us. (And if you prefer, you can always rent an E Bike) I'd... More

This hotel is a bit off the main road in New Bagan, which might seem to be a deterrent, but is actually a blessing. The peaceful sleep we got here helped us stay rested for daily trips of off-roading on e-bikes through the clusters of pagodas interspersed with gorgeous temples and breathtaking sunsets. Don't discount the hotel restaurant just because... More

Ruby True hotel is a charming, unique place to stay in Bagan. We stayed there for 4 nights and couldn't be happier. Yes, it is a little out of the way, but with the use of e-bikes which is so common in Bagan, this is not even a factor. They call their rooms "bungalows" since they come with their own... More

Ruby True became our home away from home during our stay in Bagan. Although a bit further from some of the restaurants and temples than other hotels, the distance for us made for the best nights of sleep we have had so far in Myanmar. Rooms are spacious and private with great water pressure in the showers. Food in the... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was the highlight hotel of our 18 night stay in Myanmar. What can we say, all the staff were absolutely brilliant and always ready to assist and aware of our pick up times by our guide, when we got back to the hotel and prepared for us... More

Homey, comfortable, clean rooms and lobby. The owners are incredibly kind and accommodating, willing to help with anything and answer all of your questions. It felt like home, was the best place to relax after long days of exploring, and we were sad to leave. I opted for the hotel massage at about $8 for an hour long massage, and... More

I stayed here back in October, and I was traveling alone. I had a wonderful stay, mostly thanks to the staff for going out of their way to make sure I was taken care of. At one point, I didn't have any Burmese cash left and they took my crumpled American money even though they wouldn't likely be able to... More

We stayed in the bungalow for 4 nights. The bungalow was clean and good size. The bungalows are set in beautiful, tranquil gardens. The hotel is at the edge of the New Bagan, so you have to walk to the bars and restaurants. The breakfast is not great, but it is OK compared to other hotels in Myanmar. What really... More

I've stayed at 5* hotels in many parts of the world and the staff here gave me the best service. The first morning, I slept in late. One minute before their breakfast time was to end, the front desk called me to see if I still want to get breakfast. They waited for me and served me delicious breakfast. I... More
