The key asset of this hotel is the good management of warwar. She arranged bikes, tickets and trough her contacts we could change the days of our tickets without extra costs. Do prebook online as the walk inrate is 35% more expensive.

Ruby true is almost at the end of the road off new Bagan.. While there are many others that are clustered much closer to the action.. The temples. However unless you are walking everywhere, the relative remoteness is of little consequence and in fact you get more space than your money expects. breakfast is so so but your requests are... More

I was excited to return to Bagan after 11 years hoping it had not changed too much. It had. And hadn't. A friend and I traveled in late March so the crowds weren't horrendous (except on Saturday when the tour buses arrived). We arrived at The Ruby True late at night having traveled by mini-van (Green Bus Myanmar) from Mandalay... More

I've seen the mentions on other comments about the location, agreed it is not located next to anything significant however if you are hiring the e-bikes like almost everyone else in Bagan it won't bother you. The temples and also the different towns are so spread out I wouldn't say any stay in Bagan (inclusive of New Bagan, Old Bagan... More

We wanted a good massage so the hotel staff doubled up and ended up giving me and my wife a massage! Not sure about the quality but certainly impressed by their keenness to ensure their guests have a great stay!

Great place to stay in lovely gardens. A ten minute walk from the centre of town and restaurants, shops, ATMs. A nice quiet location, very well run by Manageress WarWar who was very welcoming, friendly and spoke good English. The staff were great too. They arranged electric bikes for us which were a fantastic way to get around the temples... More

Ruby True Hotel has reasonably-priced accommodation, a friendly/helpful staff, and its geared towards tourist services. This hotel knows that its in the business of assisting tourists coming to see the Bagan Valley temples and stupas. The hotel has put together a winning formula. From what we could see, the hotel is popular with large tour groups. Tours, e-bikes, and onward... More

Lovely bungalows with a verandah and very helpful staff, especially the manager War War May who was ever attentive and helped us with bike hire and taxi's to town. She also organised our transport to Mandalay which turned out to be an adventure but all the better for us. It's a bit out of New Bagan along a dusty track... More

We arrived later in the evening without reservations, but the staff was attentive and industrious in getting us situated. We finally broke through to their abysmal internet connection for a booking online (better price than walk in), and had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was delicious, and their e-bike provider, Mother House, had powerful rides that zipped us all over Bagan.
