Lovely Myanmar establishment with friendly, attentive service. The cottages are spacious, clean and very comfortable with A/C. They are serviced daily. Bathrooms are typical Asian - open plan combined toilet and shower - but that was expected so everyone coped easily. :) Wifi is hit or miss. Though, we thought reception was strongest at the reception. Breakfast in the breakfast... More

You shouldn't Expect too much of myanmar hotels. However, this is a quite nice place. Rooms are a Bit dark and the bathroom is quite old. But the Team makes the Best out of it. All rooms have their own little veranda which is a nice place to stay. Also the Garden of the hotel is nice. Wifi was not... More

We stayed here two nights during our visit in Bagan and we were the only guests. The hotel is very old styled with furniture from the 30s to 60s, but this makes the charme of the hotel. The owner organised bicycles and bus tickets for us, but you can get cheaper ones in the streets. positiv: -good located in the... More

A friend and I stayed at this hotel for two nights and had a lovely time. We booked one of the double bungalows, which was very spacious, with AC (which we didn't end up needing), fridge, complimentary water and tea bags, and bathroom slippers. We were conveniently a few steps away from the breakfast room. They served European style breakfast... More

We stayed for three nights at Betelnut Hotel in Bagan during November. the hotel is located in new bagan where all the restaurants and shops are. It's about an hour walk to old bagan, but we hired electric scooters for about $8 for the day. The hotel is made up of a series of individual cabins (and some rooms in... More

This is a nice family run hotel with huge well appointed rooms & baths, immaculately clean; they serve a decent breakfast & sometimes it is an extensive buffet. Rooms had fridge, tea bags & a thermos of hot water for tea is provided daily as well as bottled water. Room rates were reasonable, especially compared to others in the area.... More

We ended up in the Betelnut hotel after trying to get into 15 other hotels. They probably had the worst review in the Lonely Planet, and as everybody travels with a Lonely Planet here, they didn't get much people. It wasn't very bad though. It is overpriced, that's true, but all hotels in Myanmar were horribly overpriced when we were... More

Good option in new Bagan.  Rooms were priced inline with the area, but the bungalows offered a food value.  The place was quite and roomy and the staff was helpful.  New Bagan doesn't have a lot of options for eating, but if you are only spending a night or two in Bagan basing yourself here and renting a bike or... This hotel has been given a one star rating by the Myanmar Hotel Association. For me, I would give it more. A family run hotel with big rooms, functioning plumbing, lights and electrical outlets. Clean linens, bathrooms etc... Fridge stocked with water and beverages for sale. Quiet! The gardens are lovely with Clematis trained into a large canapy between tow... More

Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in May. Was looking for a hotel at a reasonable price, a lot of the other hotels I went into wanted $45+, this hotel was $35 and included breakfast. The room was big (slightly dated as are all the hotels I've seen in Myanmar), included a fridge, tv, good airconditioning and large bathroom.... More
