A friend had recommended the Kumudara Hotel and it totally lived up to our expectations. At first I was disappointed they only had the jr. suite rooms available (at a higher price), but it was well worth the rate. We stayed in BAgan for 6 days here and loved every minute. Our room overlooked the ruins. It was large with... More

We had stayed here before 2 years ago and really enjoyed the location. The hotel is in need of some repairs but we like the view of the temples from the balcony of the junior suites. Staff are friendly and helpful. We only had dinner here once and the food was great and portions huge! Always ended the night here... More

All the reviews are accurate. It needs some work but is a good location. The staff are okay and the food in the restaurant is reasonably priced and quite good. The wood inside the rooms is lovely but very old and dark. the plumbing fixtures need some help too.

This hotel is adequate for a place to stay. It has big rooms that are very dated with very average staff. The restaurant is grubby and needs a good clean. Breakfast is average. You get good views from some rooms but ask not to stay in 201 as people will be leaving the hotel from 5 am and this room... More

I had high hopes for Kumudara due to its price and recommendations from other travellers. Indeed, the staff was professional and helpful, the restaurant and the breakfast good and the location very nice. But the condition of the rooms was apalling. My first room was so worn-out, dark and dusty that I asked for a new one. I got a... More

I stayed in one of the older bungalows , the other newer rooms were booked out ! A shame as these rooms looked really good and had some nice views ! My room was ok , but really needs a good Reno , bathroom is tired and so are the rooms ! They are clean and very good size and... More

Quite a nice Hotel on the edge of the small town and in a quiet position. The rooms are in low built chalet style buildings on one or two floors. Ours was quite spacious and had a good sized balcony, being on the first floor. It overlooked open countryside with some cattle and many stupas. As seems to be normal... More

Stayed here for 3 nights and booked the Superior Room. Good basic amenities. The room was big and comfortable. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast was adequate Continental fare. My view of the temples were blocked by the surrounding trees ( I was on an upper floor) but you can take a walk around the compound and yet a very good view... More

My family and I stayed here for two nights in January 2015. On first impressions it looked good, reasonably new with a pool. Rooms were reasonably comfortable, big bathroom with a shower over the bath , TV, balcony, air con and a good location. Staff were pretty disinterested with some even refusing to acknowledge you as you greeted them when... More

We stayed three nights at this hotel and were disappointed. The room was dingy and the furniture and fittings were tired and worn. The bathroom was ghastly. The inclusive breakfast was uninspired. The swimming Pool was green! And I wasn't tempted to try out the sun loungers they looked hard and had no cushions. Overall we were disappointed and would not recommend... More
