bottled water, kettle, toiletries and hairdryer all suuplied. We stayed in a room over looking a "water feature pond". It backed onto a village which could be "musical" in the morning. The laundry prices were the cheapest we came across. 300k for trousers, that's about 20p! Bike hire on site. Great location for visiting Temples. Food very good. Room modern... More

The hotel has 3 types of rooms, superior, junior suites and suites. Between them is about USD20 difference, and I'd recommend nothing less than the junior suites. At USD77, they're affordable and a huge jump from the superior rooms. Although the superior rooms face the pool, they're old and in sore need of a makeover. The junior suites are nice... More

Don't expect great views of the pagodas unless you request a room in the high rise block. We were in a ground level cottage - adequate but very ready for renovation. The lighting was poor and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. We liked the staff in the restaurant area and always ate on the great deck where... More

The hotel is beautiful, location is great, but needs renovation. The room was big and clean. Wifi was poor. The biggest problem was the bathroom. It was HORRIBLE. The shower didn't work properly, it was a nightmare to wash my hair.

Though Kumudara hotel is a bit rundown, but it is in a location surrounded by some unknown pagodas and the compound near the swimming pool area is a usual venue for hot air balloons landing. In the morning, between 7.15am - 8am, from the swimming pool area, you can watch some of the hot air balloon landing or have a... More

Had booked a while ago based on Trip Advisor and Lonely Planet suggestions. Read TA a few days before arriving and sent an email asking to switch rooms to Junior Suite, if possible. No reply from the central booking email...not a surprise as when I asked for reconfirmion and an answer to how much we should pay for taxi from... More

This hotel for or stay was pretty much all bad for our stay with few redeeming features (please read whole review) The hotel overbooked us, then lied about how many rooms with double beds they had. Had to push 2 single beds together in the middle of the room. They said they didnt even have rooms with doubles beds in,... More

The Junior suite is just fantastic, but dont take the superior room. We had both and although the price difference is small, the rooms are worlds apart in terms of comfort. + Location (realy in temple teritory) + Great staff (even for Myanmar, exceptionally great) + Nice pool with view on the temples + Junior Suite is nice, new and... This hotel was AMAZING! You must stay here as it has to be the best. Staff were wonderful and always helpful. We got in early at 6:30am from bus station and they gave us a room to sleep in, which was great since we were dead from the bus journey from Yangon. They made a mistake and gave us a... More
