I loved staying in Bagan Umbra Hotel. It is very centrally located and is on the main road of almost all the main attractions. It is accessible and yet not in the middle of the activities. Best place for those who want to have a quiet, exploratory holiday in the mystical land of Myanmar.

we stayed here for four days and had a good time here. Nice and clean room, sometimes they even cleaned it twice a day! Breakfast in the lovely garden was really good and you have a lot of choices to make there. After visiting Bagan and his temples and pagodes the swimming pool is a nice hang-out with refreshing cold... More

A very pleasant hotel with many helpful staff on hand .. less than £25 for an all day taxi driver to take you to all the pagoda attractions , even lunch and wait for you,, most helpful ..The traffic better than Mandalay as most people hire electric motor bikes or travel by horse and trap or on the oxen carts... They have private old Pagoda in the backyard, that is very romantic and a good place for morning yoga or evening meditation; perfect swimming pool, especially good in the evening; vast territory with big grass; different kinds of rooms according to your pocket. We liked these all. Calm place for sleeping. Good restaurants just on the left side of the... More

We have visited the upscale hotels in Bagan, but please do not hesitate to book the Umbra now. Of course for $100 more, you can get even more, but in its current state, the Umbra is the best value in Bagan. Very nice pool, ok rooms, even in the old part of the hotel, very nice breakfast, helpful staff... I... More

Small clean room and generally helpful staff. Breakfast when first served at 6 am is ok, but soon thereafter was covered with flies, including a dead fly floating in the covered milk server. Egg chef removed cold cooked eggs from a plate, wived the plate twice with the same cloth, and placed the plate in a stack of clean plates.... More

Umbra Hotel Okay this hotel is pretty good in terms of location and facilities. It's situated between Nyaung-U and Old Bagan. It's quiet grand in itself with a swimming pool, dining hall, infinity pool (I didn't see anyone use it though as the water was not clean), a bar and deck chairs. However, as a solo traveller I found the... More

I booked the hotel Standard For Single occupancy for Four nights through Agoda. As I took the over night coach from Yangon, it arrived at Bagan at 5am. Hotel Reception was so kind to offer me my room as soon as I arrived in. That helped me a lot to recuperate after 9hrs journey. There is no complaint about the... More

Hotel is situated in one of the major tourist sights near shwe- zi- gone pagoda & Ananda Pagoda .The new... More
