I stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed the experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I'm The location is very good for visiting the temples and they can arrange e bikes and regular bikes for you. There are a few very good restaurants just on the main road but it's about a 5 minute ride into the main... More

This was our third hotel in Myanmar and the one we expected to have a little more personality than the other functional/affordable three-star properties we had chosen, but while it was convenient and the bed was comfy, it was definitely lacking in terms of attention to detail and internal communication. The older rooms are huge but need some proper maintenance... More

modern rooms it makes it up with a good location, a nice infinity pool and an awesome breakfast! The cheaper rooms we got were quite old but still had all the basics like AC, fridge etc. In total the value is still good and I can recommend staying here

The Hotel is located between Old Bagan and the boat jetties which makes it an excellent start point for tours around Bagan. The Hotel itself was clean and we had the luck to be there for the grand opening of the new wing and the infinity pool. Good breakfast

Stay here for two nights. Did not expect anything but still got a little bit frustrated. The aircon broke once in my room and after switching the room, its still barely worked. Room is really old especially the bathroom. I was thinking "wow, did I travel back to 80s?". I chose the most basic room and its just so small.... More

owner should really consider if it is worth to have guests during such a principal renovation process. we were in the centre of big reconstruction. rooms were shabby, bathroom makes you feel dirty under skin, pigeons above the bathroom has made terrible noise.breakfast was also poor. the only highlight is personnel- they were really trying their best to be kind... Hotel was being renovated during our stay. The hotel should be beautiful once renovations are complete. The grounds are lovely and there is a temple at the rear of the property and more within walking distance. Plenty of eateries and a money changer near by. Location is actually perfect - half way between Old Bagan and busy Nyaung Oo.

Fantastic place to stay. Situated conveniently at the outskirts of the town and close to everything. Extremely friendly staff who are helpful with everything and bending backwards to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Although the hotel is currently undergoing an expansion and renovation (low season) I found it peaceful and serene. Lovely pool. Rooms are clean with aircon and... More

My first impression of the Bagan Umbra was disappointment. The rooms are pretty run down for the price (they are doing a huge renovation but it's not finished yet) and I had to switch rooms as the first one had a faulty A/C unit. I did have pretty decent wifi in my room, and I had heard that wifi was... More

The staff at this hotel are just so warm and willing to help with anything. A big thank you to them for the care given while I was sick. Much appreciated. I stayed in a what was called a super standard room for 2 nights and a deluxe for one night. The beds in both rooms were comfortable. The air... More
