We really enjoyed our stay at the Blue Bird, it was a peaceful and relaxing place and very accommodating to our needs. The rooms were cosy and lovely, the pool was really nice (especially after a long, hot day of temple hopping), breakfast was tasty, and the staff were incredibly nice and welcoming. We liked the location as well, with... More

The blue bird is a wonderful place to stay in Bagan. Its close to the town and you can rent a bike for free to get around. The staff is friendly, the breakfast is great and the poolside is very peaceful. Also, the rooms are spaceous and clean.

Comfortable and beautiful hotel, with an excellent staff. Friendly and very helpful. A wonderful place. Bagan is a must see. Best way to visit the archaelogical site is renting electrical bikes, which can be arranged with the reception desk. At noon, when heath is too much, try the hotel's swimming pool, enjoying a Myanmar beer!

High quality hotel. Everything is done very thoughtfully with comfort in mind. The room is beautiful, people are helpful, and the food was very good. This a a great place to escape the hot sun and relax between morning and evening visits to the temples. Worth the little extra cost. Best shower ever.

Recently stayed at Blue Bird Hotel (April 2015) and have so many wonderful things to say. First off, about 10 minutes from airport - so very convenient. After exiting a main paved road, you drive down a dirt road for a short distance and as you look out the window, you see a tall wall with lots of foliage and... More

Wow - what an amazing hotel! My wife and I stayed for three nights while on our honeymoon. It was without doubt the best hotel we stayed at during our time in Myanmar. From when we arrived (to a decorated room with balloons and fresh flowers everywhere, to celebrate our honeymoon) until we checked out, we experienced amazing service from... More

Wonderful hotel - lovely, boutique feel, delicious food and cocktails, beautiful rooms and a great pool to cool off in. Make sure to rent "electric bikes" (aka scooters) to visit the temples - it's definitely the best way to get around from the hotel. Overall, a fabulous stay and a huge thank you to the kind staff who made it... More

We stayed 4 nights (3 days) and loved it!! The staff are great, very friendly and attentive. When you get back from exploring, they greet you with an ice cold refreshing towel and glass of water! It was so nice to come back and jump in a (cold! not luke warm) pool after spending the day exploring temples in the... More

A small, well run hotel. Rooms are large and very comfortable. The gardens are lovely, the pool is delightful after a morning visiting temples. Highly recommended. Staff is very helpful and nice. Good collection of books and movies. Bike and bikes available.

Stayed three nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Clean, comfortable room and the pool was a welcome relief at the end of sightseeing jaunts on the ebikes The location wasn't an issue for us, the walk to the restaurants in the 'town' was manageable in the relative cool of the evening Only slight disappointment was dinner at the Blue Bird restaurant,...
