Paid 330,000 Rupiah and stayed for one night. The room i stayed was 592 at the fifth floor. It was clean, of good size and had window facing the main entrance. The water pressure in the bathroom was very good and strong, however the hot water took sometime to come. The towels in my room had a few yellow stains,... More

Located in the centre of Banda Aceh the hotel has access to restaurants and is not too far from the central mosque and tsunami museum. At night the street food market is opposite For one night's sleep the room was fine. There was the faintest hint of cigarettes but this is typical of Indonesia, which does not appear to have... The location is not that far from the Pasar Atjeh and Masjid Baiturahman. Right in front of the hotel, you can easily rent the taxi service (it is a van actually) or if you are a bit adventurous, you can take three wheel motorcycle for a tour. Most driver is local and they are willing to share their experience during... More

We just stayed for only one night here in Hotel Medan and the only reason we chose this hotel was because it seemed to be the nicest hotel in the most central part of town. We took the VVIP room and paid about IDR460,000 for one night. It was actually really clean and quite spacious so we were quite impressed.... More

Stayed here in April'14, had two rooms and both were clean, the aircon and the bathrooms worked as they should, one of the rooms had a bathroom that was almost showcase quality, so it must have been a recent refurb. Many hotels in this part of Sumatra are mere s*#!holes for a similar price (thinking of Takengon), so Hotel Medan... More

Stayed in a superior room for two nights. We walked in without reservation, and were told they were out off standard rooms. We requested a room on a higher floor, and they gave us one. They also offered to show us the room, before taking it. The room was simple, quiet, had comfy beds, and everything was working (AC, wifi, hot... More

We stayed here for two nights before continuing to Pulau Weh. The hotel was okay, staff was quite friendly but also stared at us in a very open matter and laughed because we were western. But this happened everywhere in Banda Aceh.. We got a room in the fourth floor which was old and smelled like cigarettes. Luckily it was... More

Stayed here for a few days on the way to and from Pulau Weh in a family room. Room was clean and opened onto a verandah walkway overlooking the Rex food centre. Had air con and TV which we hadn't had for quite a while so nice. Breakfast limited but ok. Lots of nice food stalls around the area at... More

Very simple hotel in heart of Banda Aceh. We picked it as there was aircon and own bathroom. But that's pretty much all the good things about this place. Staff in reception weren't too helpful and friendly and time has worn the rooms by now. It's very basic hotel, nothing really wrong with it. But I think it's over priced.

Staff obviously laughed at us because we were two Western tourists. Simple room. Strange tiled walls like a bathroom. Drab curtains closed with mirror placed in front of window. In hotel-restaurant the cook could be heard coughing and scraping his throat while preparing our food. (We were only two guests in restaurant).
