After a long jurney from Makassar, arrival here remind me about Moses and promisse land ! Good hotel, good food...good rooms. Depending about position, some rooms could be a little bit noisy, especially the rooms near the parking area. Nice view from the balcony. In the night ,sometimes, could be cold...

Toraja is a beautiful region and this hotel's grounds really fit in with that beauty. The rooms are in traditionally shaped Tongkonan-type buildings. Very big, comfortable rooms (no AC, but you don't need it, given the mountain location). Nice bowl of fruit in the room, and big, clean bathroom. Food is okay (not brilliant), but the breakfast buffet has a... More

It is an incredible place in a lost part of the world where the forest surrounds you.In a town where the funeral is the most important part of the end of your life,to go quickly to heaven you have to pay, slaughtering the buffalos if you can afford if not pigs etc.Back to the hotel the structure is incredible rooms... If you are here you have probably come to see the Toraja culture and will have read a little about it. The best rooms are in replicas of the Toraja boat houses. I had the ground floor of one of these and it was lovely. Lots of space, very clean and comfortable temperature (although no fan or a/c). I had... More

We were given one of the supposedly best rooms (balcony and view) BUT no WiFi in the room (only in the lobby), no automatic fire estinguisher (only a smoke detector), telephone not workimg, filth behind the bedside table, reception speaking almost no english AND more than 20 minutes for the hot water which was initially just yellow and dirty. Apart... More

The hotel is in a great location, and although a little out of town, it doesn't cost much to get local transport to bring you down/up the hill. There is also a free shuttle bus that goes into town. The room was well maintained and the hot water a welcome respite from the cold showers of many Sulawesi hotels. The... More

The site location and the houses are very nice, representing traditional building of the Toraja people. Some paths and houses are not anymore maintained, which is strange for a 4 star hotel. The worst part was the kitchen. We ate 3 nights there, each time it took us 2 hours before being served the main plate, the quality of dishes... More

Having arrived in darkness what an amazing place to wake up. On the first(top floor) of one of the Torajan houses with its intricate carving. A very spacious and comfortable room with excellent bathroom. Agree that needs some tlc and regular maintenance - slightly dated but still charming. Staff excellent - dealt with a complaint promptly and laundry service excellent.... More

Our travel agency chose the Toraja Heritage Hotel for 3 nights as our accommodations during our tour of Toraja, Indonesia. Our guide later told us we were staying in the nicest hotel in the region. Maybe so. Nevertheless, we were disappointed with the condition of the property and would find it difficult to recommend the hotel to others – unless... More

The Toraja Heritage Hotel is a jewel. Nesteled in the mountains, this resort is picturesque, comfortable, and a must destination for travelers to South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The staff is so freindly and caring, the rooms are embracing, and the food is excellent. Make this a stay and you will be changed.
