Very kind family, clean room and good position. This cozy homestay is above the standards for just 200k idr and the owners can help you to organize your trips in Tana toraja. Bring earplugs for the rosters! (Like in all the village)

We slept there for 5 nights and everything was just great. The owner is an ex-guide and helped us to explore the area by our own, lent us a map for a couple of days and kept our luggage for the 2 days we went for an overnight trekking. Take some time to talk with him :) He sells beer... More

For a stay in Rantepao, we can highly recomend to stay at Rianas homestay for a few nights. We had a decent room and slept great since the homestay is not on the main road and very quiet. For breakfast they serve you a western breakfast with toast etc. but we asked for an indonesian breakfast and literallly had the... More

Had a welcome reception from the owner who picked me up from the bus stop. I booked in advance which I was pleased about as it fully booked the nights I stayed. Room was clean with a hot shower (although I ran out of hot water on my first night so would recommend you shower quickly!) There was no sheet... More

If you are looking for a reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, basic homestay then this is the place. Daud and his family are gracious hosts, but even better, he is a fantastic guide with a deep knowledge of Torajan culture and its people. Each of our four days of touring in his comfortable car topped the previous one as we took... More

Clean rooms, dedicated hosts (Daud and his wife are amazing, and the children are adorable!), just a short walk into Rantepao through a small market. His prices vary wildly between guests with seemingly no system. I would suggest emailing ahead, as Daud is prone to double book (rianahomestay@gmail.com). All in all, great guest house for a low budget in Rantepao!

We enjoyed our stay. Basic but decent budget accommodation at this friendly homestay. Well located and good place to chat with other travellers. Room rates seem to differ and some don't include breakfast...we compared what other travellers were quoted. Ask to have breakfast included in price, it's basic but handy. Daud was a great guide and took us around for... More

Daud picked us up at the bus stop early morning and we could straight away use the rooms, and an extra bed was added and made up in a second. We then had a lovely breakfast with tea, toasts and eggs which prepared us for an unforgettable two-day Tana Toraja tour with Daud in his comfortable car. Such a knowledgable... More

Friendly family, clean,... Balcony rooms are better I guess but both are missing a sink in the bathroom and can be smelly! Good location. Cheap. Little girls did the decoration :) pink curtains, Disney sheets...
