This is the second biggest hotel in Toraja. The hotel has greatly located in the heart of cultural Rantepao (North Toraja) and has beautiful view Room is too big for solo traveller, more suitable if you travel with friends/family. The hotel itself is really massive..there are many traditional houses (Tongkonan) which used as rooms as well. The rooms that we... More

Thank you for your good comment and rating for our hotel. We tried to improve the best out of this hotel and also to fix all the problems that has been occurred. Regarding the wifi, we are still trying to contact Telkom (the provider) to fix any problem about the poor wifi connection here. We are very sorry for any... More

The hotel is built as a typical Torajan village with many unique (in the world) houses and granaries in the style of the region. That is heavily decorated with roofs that resemble ships. All the buildings are located in a large park full of flowers and fish-ponds.Located near (not walking distance) food market and of tourist market. The rooms are... More

We came to Rantepao for the local Torajan cultural experience! I write this review very much keeping in mind that we intentionally took a budget room with no aircon and three beds. The bed setup was fine as we were family, the dust in the curtains and overall in the room was bad, the lack of aircon was fine because... More

we arrived early in the morning taking the night bus from makassar and reception staff immediately helped us get an early room - which of course, we had to pay until we move to our own room. the grounds are very nice and traditional - with the exception of some small paths where you have to be extra careful when... I arrived around 8pm after bussing from Makassar. Being totally drained from the busride, I mistakenly took the only room they had left, which was the Junior Suite. The Junior suites are listed at Rp3,000,000. The receptionist immediately offered me 30% off. I asked to round it down to Rp2,000,000, and he agreed. It is not a Rp2,000,000 room whether... More

Room was good, bathroom basic but good enough. But then comes the fantastic part of it, as soon as you walk out of your apartment you will be delighted by both the well looked-after natural flora and the really good replicas of the Tana Toraja houses and rice storage constructions. Nice pool, the indonesian traditional food is good except for... More

We have been travelling around Indonesia for 4 weeks and stayed in many different hotels but this was absolutely the most beautiful and exotic hotel. I agree, it needs some maintenance, the bathrooms are a little bit old-fashioned and the swimming pool somewhat dusty. But the Tana Toraja scenery, the beautiful garden, the delicious breakfast and the fantastic staff made... More

This review is about our room in the cottage suites. The setting is wonderful...like being in a Toraja house. The grounds beautifully maintained, a large pool, and beautiful mountain view. The rooms are very spacious with a separate area for luggage and also a large bathroom. Even though the rooms are not air-conditioned we were comfortable in our room in... More

A big hotel (for Indonesian reality) prepared to accommodate more groups. Might be crowded. Room was really big, as well as bathroom. Weak point is that shower area is filled with little stones - hard to clean. No aircondition, "open" window - better use your moskito repellents at night. Stylish buildings, nice pleasant ambience. Only the walls are thin -... More
