We arrived and got a cheaper rate for the superior room than advertised as soon as I opened the Agoda app. The rooms looked OK - bed was clean, TV a bit too small, bathroom of much lower standard than one might expect from the five-star exterior. WiFi hopelessly slow, I used my 3G sim instead. Restaurant: staff were chatting... More

We have tried another hotel in Rantepao before we decide to change for Luta resort much cleaner. Nice rooms, pool a little bit blurred. Breakfast usual. Service excellent. You are at 2 streets from the Main Street with restaurants and the market. Restaurants in town are not amazing but there is some address better than others. Try Rimiko first.

i was very disappointed that i had chosen this hotel for a whole week. The room was dated and needed urgent refreshment.the breakfast was between bad and sufficient.Nobody really speaks english at all which in general is ok but in a 3 stars hotel it should be available. The staff weren't really intersted in the guests, the swimming pool dirty and the WLAN... This hotel seems very nice from the outside but not from the inside. it keeps eagles in very small cages! !! Also the rooms are not worth the money. This hotel should be aware that some people do not support their keeping of animals in such small cages! !!

I stayed at the Luta Resort for two nights while working nearby during the day in between. The hotel staff is quite nice and there is a very pretty garden in the courtyard. The rooms are OK, not particularly well lit, especially the bathroom. Lighting in the bath is rather grim. The bed and plumbing are average for this type... More

If you want to explore Toraja (you really should: it's unique) then The Luta is the best place from which to do so. Why the best? Because it is newly built and thus clean; affordably priced (approx $65 and up) and centrally located. My advice: pay $15 more for a Jr. Suite, not because the bedroom is bigger but because... More

The hotel is in a good location with one side facing the river and the other side walking distance from the town center. We had a room with a tiny balcony facing the central courtyard. The room was clean and spacious, with nice Toraja paintings on the wall but the furniture is getting old. There is no elevator to get... More

So positives first; The room was really clean Staff were friendly Room was spacious Negative; The whole place was just a bit sad they have two birds of prey in tiny cages in the court yard The resort dog is poorly looked after... Luta Resort is might be the best hotel in Rantepao city center. Breakfast is good, room is a bit small, view to the river side its nice. But still for me its not worth the price. I rather stay bit out of Rantepao city center for the same value of money and got bigger room. But if you need to... More

The Luta Resort Toraja is centrally located and comfortable. Superior rooms are recommended as they are spacious with balconies overlooking the lush garden below. The Deluxe Rooms that I saw actually appeared smaller, the benefit being they had their own air-conditioner rather than a centralised one. This hotel is very popular so it is wise to book well in advance.
