Just visited this place last week, it is quite good actually. The bed is clean, so does the bathroom (there's hotwater in it, with toiletries and towel), the food is quite good, there's wi-fi and more importantly it is close to Paltuding post (starting point to Ijen Crater), which is only 45 minutes by car. I only had a little... More

Visited Ijen Resto & Guest House on my trip Ijen Crater. Actually never slept the night here because we had to go to Paltuding outpost at midnight to start our hike to Ijen Crater. The rooms are pretty clean, bathroom also clean with hot water available (sometimes). Their restaurant was also nice though somewhat understaffed. The staff that took our... More

We heard good stories about this place, but really, it is not so good. (1) they hardly speak a word of English. Eg., there were no towels in our cottage, but no one could understand the word either. (2) they said there were no cheaper rooms available, but the whole place ended up solely occupied by us. (3) they have... More

WOW…!! We were on a trip to climb the Ijen Crater - my husband, our 5 year old son and myself. after the Bromo Mountain trip, we went straight to Ijen to celebrate my husband’s birthday up on the crater and after reading several reviews on the available accommodation we have found on both http://www.ijenplateau.com/ and TripAdvisor, we decided to... We went to Mount Ijen for my birthday.. After reading so many bad reviews about hotels around the area, we decided to stay in Ijen Resto & Guest house. At first, we thought the room was OK. Large space for a reasonable price, equipped with mosquito net, TV. The hot water was there but sometimes it dies while you shower,... More

We had read horrible things about the very few guesthouses near Ijen, so we decided to go for Ijen Resto which seemed a whole tad better than the other ones. I think that this is the best hotels you can get near the crater. Except for 1 that is superluxurious but that will cost you. This one is priced okay... More

Quite a distance from crater, around 8 km, but this could be one of the best hostel.for your pocket. Room rates vary from 20-35 USD, and most of them are clean and nice. Staff was nice as well. Meal is good and no rip off price.

Stayed here late October 2013 for two days. The road now from Licin runs straight thru to Kawah Ijen and has now been repaired and is in good condition to provide relatively easy access to the Ijen Plateau, There is no need to hire a 4WD for access anymore provided you have decent vehicle.. The road runs straight past the... More

If you want to spend a night the closest way possible to the volcano there's actually another guesthouse just next to the path. It's called in a similar way, something like Ijen Guesthouse. Nevertheless this one looks more comfy and is situated in the outskirts of the village so you can take a nice walk through it and through surrounding... More
