We stayed in Arabica like most of the people before going to Ijen and there is not much choice. The outside of the hotel is quite nice. It is a park of a coffee plantation. Inside is another story. The room was just horrible. Quite big, but dirty. We could hear every word which was spoken outside. Our room was... More

Like many others we had to stay one night in this place to visit Kawah Ijen. It was a very uncomfortable experience: the rooms were dirty, smelly and less than basic. The food was terrible, the staff was slow and unfriendly. We were actually told to keep our key in the lock to prevent people peeping through. If you can,... More

we (3 persons) arrived late and left very early the day after for the Mt Ijen. 1.Room: the travel company told me that we were lucky as we were booked to VIP rooms: - we had been given a room where 3 bed could just fit and nearly no space for luggage - once i asked, we have been given... More

OK place to stay the night before the early 3:30am start to trek Ijen crater. Lots of rooms, and pretty comfy beds, but fairly basic and we had a cockroach in our room. There doesn't seem to be anything else in the area so you are limited to buying your food and drink there. They serve quite a good dinner... More

Most people come here for one night to see Ijen the next morning and so did we. The rooms are bad, staff is unfriendly and slow, WiFi does net work, restaurant is overpriced and breakfast is close to being a joke. If you come here bring your own food and water and get excited for Ijen (which is amazing) cause... More

We were forced to stay here despite booking the Katimoor hotel as part of our tour (we were told the Katimoor was full). Having read other reviews we had extremely low expectations, however the room we had was manageable for one night. At first the room smelt suspiciously like detergent as if to mask other smells, then when going to... More

Everything that was written before was confirmed during our short stay at Arabica: mould on the walls, very dirty bedroom and public areas, no service, noise, stains on the bed sheets. Bring your own towel and sleeping bag. Wifi does not work but there is hot shower although I was too disgusted to take a shower. If like us you... More

Pros : * Second closest to Ijen Crater, about 45 mins drive (after Catimor Homestay) * Very beautiful scenery and surroundings * (Unexpectedly) working hot shower Cons : * Dirty room * Breakfast is only 2 pieces of bread! (for a long hike, trust me : it won't be enough!!) * Pricey dinner (IDR 50.000,- per person) * And dirty... More

It’s a traditional indo homestay, room was okie but wall very very thin, not even consider a wall, more like a partition, hahaha. The restaurant with very few selections of food, like 6? Nearby there’s nothing so you leave with no choice but to eat there. Breakfast is simple. I don’t think I can stay here for more than 1... More
