I only called to see what the rooms were like.....I was shown a twin room and could see the stains in the mattresses thro the stained sheets.....It smelt terrible and the reception lad not interested.....look elsewhere there are better for same price
I travelled from Kuching to Pontianak in My Toyota Avanza. Took us about 9 hours.
We stayed in Hotel Kini for one night, and Ateng House for one nite before driving to Singkawang.
Ateng House is not that bad. Has attached bathroom and aircon. It cost us IDR150,000 for a room with two single beds.
Plenty of eating stalls nearby....

Ateng House is on a busy street close to many restaurants, a supermarket, food stalls, and major hotels. The tourist agency part of Ateng House faces the main street, reception is in the back of the agency, and the guestrooms are located up above. The guesthouse is three levels of single and twin rooms, each level containing about four rooms...
