Stayed for 1 night in May 2012 as I was travelling to Udaipur from Jaipur. The hotel (read mini palace) is at the end of a dusty track surrounded by farmland and small villages. I stayed in one of the huge top floor suits, which was well over 1,000 square feet plus the exclusive use of a courtyard. All mod... More

Organised for us by Audley Travel this stop gave us the ideal opportunity to relax after a hectic schedule. We loved it and Abel Patras the manager and his staff were wonderfully attentive. Don't expect 5star quality as the Palace is a little worn around the edges and wifi and electrics sometimes erratic but that kind of added to the... More

Unfortunately only stayed for one night as part of an organised tour.We were made to feel like family, and very well looked after.OK there was not much choice in food but it was well cooked.OK its not modern,OK its a bit frayed round the edges but it had charm and friendly staff and a character all its own More

We were booked to stay here for 2 days here but were so disappointed with Bijay Niwas that we checked out after only a few hours and went on our way. Although the external facade is quite impressive, we found the welcome rather under-whelming - a glass of Pepsi and a hurried move up to our room. The bedroom was... More

I hope the owner reads and acts on this review; if not I fear he may be sitting on a declining asset. The building is pleasant enough and some external renovations were underway at the time of our stay. The swimming pool's circulation and filter pumps were not switched on; fortunately we seemed to be the only people round for... More

All these haveli experiences are grossly hyped and overrated. There are much better options on the Udaipur, Jodhpur circles. Better stay in Ajmer city hotels for the same price. The only asset is the location which is just off the NH79--if one is traveling between Jaipur/Delhi to Udaipur. There is nothing spectacular in the property except spotting a few peacocks.... More

Set in beautiful gardens, seemingly in the middle of nowhere, this was an oasis of tranquility after the bustle of Pushkar and Ajmer. The rooms were beautifully furnished with some interesting antiques and pictures of the owner's family over the years - a reminder of old colonial days. The food was excellent and the staff delightful. We would definitely recommend... More

We arrived in Bijay Niwas after a hectic trip to Ajmer Dargah and Pushkar. The place is 70 km from Ajmer...quite a distance in a town called Bijainagar. I was exhausted but the fatigue gave way to exhilaration on my first look at the place. A narrow dusty road in a provate estate leads you to a fairy world...a beautiful... More

We were driving from New Delhi to Udaipur and were recommended this place by a friend, its ideally located for this drive (Note: its not on NH8 it is on NH79A, the preferred route) Very nice heritage property with loads of potential, though the staff needs loads of training. More

My family and I stopped at this bed and breakfast on the way from Udaipur to Jaipur. Wow. What a little gem. The lawns are meticulously manicured, with a crystal clear pool to cool off during the unseasonably warm spring. The rooms are so sweetly furnished with beautiful antiques. The dining room is something to see -- you can enjoy... More
