I recently was in Guiyang with my husband and stayed at the Renaissance. The hotel is located about 20 minutes outside of the city. PROS: -The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable. Showers are great. Breakfast was also phenomenal if you are willing to pay for it or if you have Marriott club status. -The staff is very friendly and... More

We have been staying here for the past 3 years. Really well maintained hotel, with good service, but not in the most convenient location. If you need to be downtown, it will take 30+ mins. Not easy to get a taxi around this area, but if you are able to book it will cost you 40-50 RMB to get to... More

Nice hotel, good service, but personal don't speak English at all! General manager must do something with this! I understand, that in China english language not very important, but if you work in hospitality, at lest your English must in at intermediate level.

Very friendly staff. Very nice accommodations, excellent food. However I suffered because of two tiny details: Most of the staff speaks little or no english, son any request, from a non allergic pillow, to a glass of red wine, becomes difficult and time consuming. Housekeeping is not very through, yes they come and do the bed, but the room had... More

Beautifully designed hotel with spacious well fitted comfortable bedrooms and bathroom. Very friendly and helpful staff. Location can be a problem when returning from the old town, as taxis are selective, requiring your destination before accepting or declining the fare. The gym and pool are first class. Buffet breakfast and dinner is good. No orange juice for breakfast is bad... More

I was told breakfast not available at executive floor due to too few executive members. But there are hundreds of crowds eating at restaurant floor 2. Jumping in the line in front of me, losing my taken seats, smoking people around... never seen this kind of crowded and mess at Marriott in the past.

We chose this hotel for its location away from the chaotic downtown near a huge park and our positive experiences in other Marriott Hotels. We were not disappointed. We had booked a standard room for a night but were upgraded to a beautiful and spacious club room with very comfortable beds, free wifi (in club room), coffee and tea maker,... More

Should you by force majeure find yourself in Guiyang, stay in Renaissance. New, quite hotel with relatively big rooms. Stuff is well-trained, attentive, but not annoying! Breakfast has a vast variety of food. Swimming pool is unusually big for city-hotel - 22 m long. Will be dragged to Guiyang in a week - will stay here again.

Location 20km from downtown. Fast and courteous check in and check out. Room was very spacious and well appointed, everything clean and in working order. Breakfast included in reasonable room rate was very good with decent selection. Overall staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. Would return again.
