This was a most amazing Hotel and we loved every minute of our stay. We were picked up from the airport by the &Beyond staff who could not have been more helpful and efficient (as was the norm). We arrived at the hotel an hour later and were greeted by Management and our own personal staff. We filled out, what... More

From the outside, The room/bungalow looks like something out of Lord of the Rings. Inside it is quite luxurious but still has a bit of a rustic feel, like a cozy lodge. The main lodge and dining hall has a very old-world appeal. The staff is incredibly friendly and the service blows away anything you might experience at any US... More

this is an amazing place. Food is very good ,but of course you come here to enjoy the view over the crater. Every room is remarkebly decorated . It is very surrealistic ;like a dream to have all this luxury in the middle of nothing.

Just stay here. Don't think about the cost, think about the fun and indulgence (100 long stem roses by your bath?!). We stayed two nights and it was a great start to our Serengeti adventure. Other reviews have let the cat out of the bag on all the wonderful touches that are part and parcel of this quirky and exotic... More

What a great way to send a 18 day safari! We felt right at home from the minute we arrived. Our little house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was chilly and rainy, so I enjoyed a few long, hot baths. After a few weeks of bumping around in vehicles, this was a welcome respite. Our game guide, Mudy,... More

This was a real treat for us, as it was the only hotel available for the dates we were travelling. Very expensive but so well worth the extra cost. The rooms are so way out and different very very luxurious, spotlessly clean and comforatble..everything was catered for even a fire lit at night as it gets a bit chilly in... More

This Lodge is unbelievable in its location, service, food and exotic decor. We stayed in the south camp and had breathtaking views of the crater. The rooms are over the top as far as decor but so much fun. After a long day driving in the crater you came home to a drawn hot bath with bubble bath, roses and... More

As many have mentioned, the Crater Lodge is a bit over the top - but it was a lovey place to stay for two nights on our Tanzanian honeymoon. From the endless supply of roses, countless fire places, glass chandeliers and candle light dinners - it was very romantic. Due to price and decor the lodge caters to a certain... More

from heated coverlets on the mattresses, to a drawn bath when you return from a day in the crater, this lodge does it all right. Wonderful friendly staff, excellent meals and views that are unparalleled this a a must stop on any visit to the crater and the Serengetti. Masai villages are nearby and very welcoming. The crater is a... More

We wanted to see the great migration, and the ngorongoro crater. We couldn't decide between the several AndBeyond camps and chose a 6 night trip, 2 nights at Klein's camp, 2 at Serengeti under Canvas and 2 at the ngorongoro crater. Each camp has its perks. Unfortunately we were too late to see the great migration in its full strength,... More
