This place is above five stars! Service, scenery and setting were superb! I especially liked seeing much of the staff being female! When I asked about it, Stanley, the manager, said part of the organization's goal is to help the community it is part of and elevating women is part of that. Really this was a nicer place than we... Our first surprise was when your luggages were managed by young small women, while the men from the staff not helping at all and the manager finding this normal.... The second surprise was the temperature in august, it was so cold that it was impossible to sleep. Even after fire was made in the chimney because the wood used is... More

My Wife and I had a great stay at the Explorean. Fantastic service, great accommodation and fine food. Truly a great place to chill. From the Manager to contact staff all without exception were polite and served with enthusiasm. If you want to be indulged this is the Hotel. Happy and caring staff.

Exploreans Ngorongoro was the last stop on our 50th Anniversary Safari, which was a fly-in safari going to Ambroseli Serena, Kichwa Tembo, Olakira and the crater. This was a custom safari arranged by Maureen Stover at Go2Africa. Maureen really did a great job of setting everything up, and the execution was flawless from getting off the inbound flight until getting... More

The Exploreans Ngorongoro Lodge was the best hotel we stayed in during our week-long stay in Tanzania. Everything about the lodge was impeccable - the actual accommodations and in-room furnishings were spacious and luxurious, the service was superb, the attention to detail was evident, and the entire staff was friendly and courteous. A special shout-out to Mr. Morley Stanley (the... More

The most beautiful thing is the location and the properly maintained beautiful garden. climate was below 15c, could have taken some jackets but we missed. food was amazing, the chef gave us the food customized for srilankan buds upon request. The manager Stanley was a very attentive and switched on at work, my sincere thanks to him for taking care... More

Rooms: Very large rooms. The temperature within the rooms is rather cold - we stayed there in July. There are fireplaces - not open fireplaces as described in some travel advertisings, but with a window. Unfortunately except for the smoke the fireplaces don't heat the room up... Food: Good cooking - nice pizzas and mediterranean food. Boxed Lunch: Very nice... More

This lodge is ideally situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We wanted to see Lake Manyara National Park and of course Ngorongoro Crater, and it was easy to get to both from this lodge. We were shocked at how large our cabin was, and the views of the forest were incredible. We all thought that the food was extremely good,... More

The property is stunning. The lodge cabin has its own living/sitting room separate from the bedroom with a fire place each. The local arts hanging on the wall are a nice touch. The furnishing is elegant, appropriate for the spacious cabin. The outside deck/patio provides a great view to the forest. What a luxury to return to a heated cabin... More

This property is new and stunning! The staff and manager, Morely Stanley, attend to every detail. The lodge cabins are spacious, well-apointed, elegant and lovely. Each cabin has two fireplaces, a separate living room, huge deck and well-appointed bathroom. There is a lovely pool. The food is great. The grounds - flowers and gardens - are immaculate and well-maintained. A... More
