My family and our parents who came to visit us from Sri Lanka stayed at this great place. It's amazing experience. The hotel is just at the gate of the Ngorongoro Crater entrance and very convenient. This unique hotel provides all kinds of comforts while the service of the staff is simply greater than the all facilities available. If you... More

Beautiful bungalows with a stunning views on the lush vegetation. Where on earth can you still find a room #13? Our bungalow 13 (we're not superstitious) was spacious with a sitting room and large bedroom. A lovely balcony with a lovely view completed the experience. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The setting in the well kept gardens with... More

Exploreans is a treasure sitting right outside the gate of Ngorongoro. I stayed for a night after my safari in Lake Masek but I wish I could have stayed longer. The grounds are absolutely beautiful, so many vibrant and beautiful plants/flowers. You can see the garden in which they grow the fresh vegetables used in the meals. The welcome staff was... More

We have stayed just one day and regreted to have to leave. Great swiss type gardens, huge villas, big wooden construction verandas with magic view on the forests. They are thinking of EVERY single detail ( nicely arranged umbrellas, beach towels, chocolate near the bed...; it is clean, food - high-class restaurants in Europe would just envy. We congratulated the... More

We were very impressed with this place and was a lovely haven after a long drive. The lodge is about a 5 minute drive to the entrance of the park and a 40 drive to the descent path down to the crater. There are closer lodges right on the rim of the crater but this place was so lovely that... More

An extraordinary location near the rim of Ngorongoro Crater. The cottages have a living and a sleeping room with bathroom and a balcony. The view is magical with all possible shades of green. The whole location is a beautiful garden design with flowers and well maintained. I have two minor points; there are no bathroom slippers and the telephone is... More

we started planning the Ngorongoro and Serengeti trip a year ago, in January 2014. in the beginning the travel company booked us at Serena lodge, but after reading some of the comments on trip advisor, we started looking for another lodge. we came across Exploreans by chance. read it's reviews on trip advisor regarding this lodge and asked the travel company... Just after the limits of the Nogorongoro conservation park, the Exploreans is a very typical lodge composed of bungalows. The garden is magnificent and the staff very welcoming. You also have a very nice pool that is being renewed for the moment and will certainly be ready for the hot temperatures of the dry season!

i do not have enough good things to say about this property. Rooms are spectacular with ample space overlooking the beautiful hills of the crater. Watch close and you can see elephants or buffaloes. Hotel grounds are beautiful with flowers and very cool birds around. A lot of porch areas to relax and enjoy the views. Food is great, head... More
