This was part of the Sky Safari package offered by Elewana. (see other relevant reviews). No doubt this is a fantastic hotel with superb facilities that are at odds with the surrounding poverty. It is in an old coffee plantation which is surrounded by an electric fence to keep the animals out. I mention this because to me, this epitomises... More

Thank you for your review. We are delighted that you had a lovely stay at The Manor at Ngorongoro. 'Little' John, 'big' John and all the staff really enjoyed your company and we're very pleased to hear that you loved our food - especially the traditional African cuisine. Thank you for your feedback on how you found some of our... More

We travelled in Dec. 2014. This place a paradise on earth and the only negative thing is that we stayed for only 1 night. Rooms, lodge`s set up, restaurants, food and service are just perfect and makes you want to stay longer. It`s totally relaxing and to our surprise is also romantic, although we were with our kids so it... More

I cannot rate this hotel highly enough! Roddy and Camilla are excellent host's who work ceaselessly to take care of their guests. My room was spacious and beautifully furnished. I stayed in room # 18 this gave me a view west over the coffee plantation and enabled me to watch the sunset. The hotel grounds are well kept, the staff... More

The Manor at Ngorongoro is out of this world! Pure luxury. The welcome, service and quality of everything from the bed linen to the smiles was exceptionally good. Camilla and Roddy are to be commended on presenting top class service to customers. All of the staff were wonderful and we assume they have a VERY good training programme in place.... More

this has to be the most wonderful place I've ever visited. I'm used to getting good quality hotels but this is a whole new level. You can get the rooms in other hotels but the service they include,.... Fantastic! When we got back from safari our bath was filled, waiting for us to get in. We got a surprise private... More

After leaving the road linking the Ngorongoro and Arusha, you'll follow a steep trail for about 20mn, very well indicated and you end up in the middle of an Arabica plantation, impressive place with all the European confort and all activities you may require, pool, spa, horse back riding, cycling, ... Ideally located between the Nogorongor and the Manyara Lake... More

we stopped to look around and have lunch. You are in another world, you can see coffee plantations, you are secluded. Manager showed is around. Horse riding is available, game drives into Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro can be arranged also. I loved this place, its quiet and you feel like you are in the old safari times, the design is... More

Located high in the mountain area of Ngorongoro. Set in plantations . The house was beautiful as was the view. Accommodation very good and the food was excellent. Attentive management and excellent service. Wish we had stayed longer

The family cottage was the highlight of all. I recommend The Manor Ngorongoro for a family holiday. It is an entertaining place perched just outside the Ngorongoro reserved forest. You can join the horse back rides, visit coffee farm and a walk around the area.

Before I die I hope to visit this place again. This property is in a mountain surrounded by rolling coffee fields and is one of the most beautiful places I have ever had the privilege of visiting. The pictures don't do it justice. My first thought is this is how the colonial aristocrats must have lived. Upon arrival you bags... More
