From the minute we arrived until we reluctantly left we were pampered, fed and made to feel at home every minute. Everyone was ready to make this a once in a life time experience. After a long day on a photo safari it was nice to come "home."

The Manor at Ngorongoro was spectacular! I believe it's one of the finest experiences we've ever had - the facilities are beautiful, the grounds are serene - looking out over the coffee plantation - I felt like I was in a movie set! The staff were so attentive and courteous and gave 150% - from the waitstaff to the housekeepers... More

The location is amazing , high on a hill surrounded by coffee plants. The actual hotel "rooms" are actually individual English cottage style villas with their own terraces and lounging chairs. We were there at the end of June which is their winter, so it was a bit chilly at night, but while you are at dinner, they light the... More

As you wind your way through the woods on the dirt road leading up to it, the last thing you expect when you finally get to The Manor is a table laid out with refreshments set in green leafy surroundings and to be introduced to your own personal butler but that is exactly what we got. My wife and I... More

The Manor is the most impressive hotel we have ever stayed in Africa! The location itself is spectacular - the hotel sit atop a hill surrounded by coffee plantation -, but what took our breath away was the outstanding decor. The hotel is luxuriously appointed and what we loved the most was the lovely lounge area with the hit fire... More

We stayed at The Manor as part of our Elewana Sky Safari and it met and exceeded all expectations. Roddy and Camilla are the perfect hosts and Sharriff is amazing. Wonderful rooms with every detail thought about, great food, exceptional service from the staff and a truly amazing location. Ngorongoro crater is a sight to see and this was a... More

We are on our third day here & leave tomorrow. The staff are fabulous & the managers Camilla & Roddy are very attentive. The food has been the best we've had so far on this trip. Thank you Big John! The place is run like the special forces behind the scenes but as a guest you'd have no idea. We... More

The hotel is at the end of a bone jarring road through the coffee and tea plantation. It is within exceptionally attractive grounds and the rooms are simply outstanding in every respect. All rooms have fireplaces which are cheerfully lit by staff within minutes of a request. The bathrooms are exceptional and, after a day in the Ngorongoro Crater we... More

Great location surrounded by coffee farms. In the morning lots of women begin the day collecting the ripened berries around your rooms. Good food - with excellent service. Its a nice place to come and spend a short weekend - not being too far from the crater entrance.

Impressive! That's the only word to describe it. Tripadvisor needs a half star rating because giving it 4 stars is harsh, but its not quite 5 stars for the following reasons. 1. It can get really cold in the rooms. We went in May (which isn't the coldest time of the year in Tanzania). There are fire places in the... More

Located adjacent to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the 1500 acre, Shangri-La Estate, The Manor at Ngorongoro is reminiscent of a elegant, up-country farm home in the Cape Dutch-style of architecture.
